Seems like a good product for a respectable price point. Edit. Is the original creator's instructions better than the instructions that come with the kit? Thanks for the video.
Hello ZZ! Thanks for the kind words1 I am so pleased with this set, it looks amazing. It was scary staring at the huge box of bags thinking how the heck it was going to ever be put together haha. Just have a good size area to work and a spot picked out to show it off, because you definitely will want to! Price wise, I don't think anyone could build this in real Lego completely for under at least 1500-2000 dollars, as it has some rare pieces in it. The 300 price for the non-lego is ridiculously good for the sheer number of pieces. I try to buy real Lego when possible, but have the Mould King Venator next (UCS where the Lego is playscale). Hello, I enjoyed the wonderful video. I have a question. I wonder if the front part of this design doesn't align correctly even in the instructions of the original author who made this. I wonder if MK intentionally changed the guidelines, or if the original author's guidelines point correctly. :)
Hello! They seem to be the same, but I think my alignment issues were more of the sheer length of the panels that cause them to bow slightly over the length of the combined pieces. Even the Lego UCS suffers a bit from this, and in the earlier version they tried using magnets to hold pieces down. I am thinking about perhaps doing something similar with mine, by modifying the nose panels at the front slightly to use magnets to better hold them down firmly just in that front area. Thanks so much for the comment and for watching my video, I hope it helps in some small way!
Hello! So Mould King uses non-Lego (the patent went public years ago, so they look and act like them, but no logo. Some clone companies cheap out on the plastic, but I haven't found any major issues with the bigger brands like Mould King. The instructions for this build are available on rebrickable as I mention in the video and I bought them from the original creator, but building this fully out of legos (at nearly 12000 parts, some of which are larger/hard to find) would have been around 1000 bucks! So in this case the 298 dollar clone block kit was my only option to build something this size and still be affordable. The blue parts I added to the engine however, are Lego brand bricks and I purchased those off of Bricklink. I hope that answered your question? I'd be happy to answer any others I can to help you out!

@@MVDMVX. I had the same dilemma! I almost got the UCS myself but the price hurt. I also went with a clone version of the UCS AT AT for the same reason. 200 versus 700 dollars. I usually support official Lego whenever possible, especially with current builds, but alot of retired sets are just so overpriced on the secondary market and sometimes the clones have builds (such as this one) that Lego hasnt/wont produce. So they pair up well to fill gaps in my collection. I usually support official Lego whenever possible, especially with current builds, but alot of retired sets are just so overpriced on the secondary market and sometimes the clones have builds (such as this one) that Lego hasnt/wont produce. So they pair up well to fill gaps in my collection. I recommend looking on Rebrickables for a user named Kdapt-preacher who has designed a whole bunch of ships that are scaled for the UCS Star destroyer! That way you can build support ships, etc. that will pair up perfectly! Here is his page link:

I have build several of the little fighter sets and they look so cool flying over the star destroyer lol. I plan on building more in the coming months!
The scale is 1:1455 and it is amazing just how huge a Star Destroyer was in scale to many of the other ships that you see in the star wars universe! I give him credit for doing the math, I sure as heck could not haha!
Hello it’s me again. Could you send me an instruction or photos of the mini-tie-fighters? Thank you so much.
Hello again Samuel! Of course, happy to help. The creators name is Kdapt-Preacher and he has a bunch of the scaled vehicles! Here is a link to his Rebrickable page with all of the different vehicles: rebrickable.com/users/Kdapt-Preacher/mocs/
The one that contains the TIE fighters and Y-wings, etc is titled "1:1455 Small vehicles: AT-AT, TIE Fighters, MTT, Sail Barge, Y-wings, AAT, PAC, MG-100".
I hope this helps and let me know which ones you decide to build, I am thinking about doing a video on his MOCs just to spread the word more about these scaled vehicles. Have a great day!
Did you have to sort out the pieces? I heard somewhere that the numbered bags are useless.
Hello Samuel! For this set the numbers matched up perfectly with the instruction manual! I have had other non Lego sets where the numbers and manuals were no where useful, probably those bag numbers were to insure correct packing only. In this case Mould King did an excellent job with the numbers being extremely helpful as I would have gone crazy having to sort all those pieces haha!
@@OldNSurly Thanks, that helps a lot as I just got the set. I was having qualms and was wondering wheher or not I should build the set.
@@samuelyung1031 Happy to help! If you have any questions or things I can help with please let me know! I know you will love this thing once it's finished, just be ready for the size of the assembled ship haha!
@@OldNSurly I just got the set delivered to my place. I opened all the 1 bags, but I can't seem to find the black technic connectors. Did this happen to you?
@@samuelyung1031 when you pulled out all the bags were there any without numbers? If I remember correctly all the pins may have been in one bag, there are a few others like that where all the small wrench pieces used as decoration on the rear engine section, etc.? Have you pulled out all of the bags from the package yet? I will also go back and look at my step 1 video and photos to jog my memory a bit just to make sure.
From where can i buy this on the lowest price?
Hello Aron! The cheapest I have found it is on wish.com at the Mould King store. Here is the link:

I hope this helps!
