He sure does let us know how pretty the day is,it seems every time he says something he always mentions the day, how beautiful it is, I bet that would have been a good job I have drove tractor and trailer, owner operator all over the United States Mexico Canada even drove up into Anchorage Alaska. But I'm just laying back retired now with nothing to do but relax and enjoy the day. 👍😌
Don't know if you know it, but you went by George Clooneys parents house at Augusta. The John Rankin house which was a stop on the underground railroad, is at the top of the hill at Ripley. It's on top of the hill in the clearing overlooking Ripley Ohio.
Rosemary Clooney's house is right on the river too in Augusta, Ky. It's a pretty little town. I wished that Capt. Kyle would have shown more of the places along the river. Right around the Madison area in the Kentucky side was the place, Payne Hollow, where Harlan Hubbard and his wife Anna spent the rest of their lives after they had spent over a decade in the 40s and 50s moving down the Ohio and then the lower Mississippi all the way to the Louisiana bayous in the unpowered shanty boat that Harlan built himself. Harlan wrote two famous books about their years on the rivers and bayous. Hubbard was also an accomplished artist.
Absolutely stunning,I retired as a union electrician and looking at these videos I would have loved to have worked on the rivers.The skills and judgemnet to push those big beasts on the river is inspiring.
I love this place I was raised in New Richmond Ohio you went by it it has a flood wall along the north side of river going up stream I used to run three city blocks to watch the party boats go by as a kid I could hear the pipe organ echoing though the valley for miles ahead of it get there coming up stream
and some of your videos like this one when you go through the boat, engine room wherever, I could still literally smell it like that wheel wash I could smell it in one video you had you were in the engine room when it was starting up the main engines and when you start up the engines that air that comes out that compressor that goes through that starters got a certain smell to it I could smell it that day when they cranked up that engine I smelt that smell it's amazing how that just don't never go away thank you
How far up into the Ohio do you come ? I heard you say Cinn,Oh. Do you go near the Ashland , Ky. or Hntington,WVa.areas ? I I surely do love your fine videos. Beautiful scenery from seeing your fine videos.
Hi, Kyle, your videos came up one day. Just came across this one. I am from Wheeling, WV. I have lived along the Ohio River all my life. Love the barges. Your videos are awesome. Thank you for sharing your videos.
My 1st Jet Job (after Flying Old WWII stuff) was for Orion Air, they flew the UPS jets out of SDF before the FAA would allow them to operate their own planes, Plenty of time spent there in Louisville... 🤫
uMM..... While you have the best get out of town vacation afloat the funs over for a guest when the crew goes to work on that person. Everybody's got to mess with you. Like you I was out there to portray river as it is now and they gotta mess with ya. It's safe here at home and I can go mushroom hunting.

Good ol Capt LJ worked. The CA is a nice boat and Capt LJ and his crew takes good care of it
