Yk. This channel feels like the definition of success. You have a real talent for art and you created your own opportunity. You didn’t wait and hope; you knew you had something, you created a channel, and in 4 videos you’ve blown up because you had the skills and talent and it is instantly recognized. Congratulations man, these videos really are something else. I’ve always hated this game, but part of me wants to play just on the off chance I could run into you. You’re only going to improve and I can’t wait to see the quality of content you will put out. It is genuinely a pleasure to watch you paint like that. You should be proud of yourself
You should make a trap base that captures people, then force them to paint paintings, and the winner gets to live. Plus you can sell the paintings after for a premium. Instead of blood diamonds they're blood paintings
Literally didn't see the comments as watched on TV, but I straight off went to my phone to comment to keep it, now just seeing theres loads who love it!
Alright, in case you reading this comment, I'll try to use some common sense to make some suggestions. - To keep the effort bearable, only do small/medium paintings - people will be more likely to afford them and actually have a place in their base to put it - I would say 150-200 scrap per hour of work is a fair price - you could get way more by actually playing the game, but you can't do this from the safety of your base - Use monuments / iconic game elements as motives (the barrel was really nice) - some suggestions would be Dome, skyline of Outpost, Fishing Village, Oil Rig, Launch Site ramp, Watertower, a minicopter, a bear/boar/deer with scenery, recycler, backshot of a full kit with AK on his back, mountain sides, meadow view with trees, river scenery with crops, Ranch, a silo from Sewer Branch/Water Treatment, a zipline tower, inside of a cave with crates and nodes, entrance of a cave with mining cart, a sunset/rise over the ocean, a pile of ocean loot, lighthouse.. What you are already doing right is positioning your base near outpost, you should pay attention its between outpost and the highest level POIs, thats a route often taken by bigger clans with more scrap. You also might just want to place small triangle foundations with an enclosed TC around some POIs, putting a sign on it with the coordinates of your base and "Art Gallery - Paintings For Sale" I really loved your base design with the lighting, it actually made it look like a art gallery. I would also maybe give the paintings a funky/exotic title and put it on the same sign as the price (placing it below like in a real art gallery) Love your videos, it's definitely a niche for great content. If you keep it up and have a slightly better plan/execution they will be even more entertaining. Cheers!
If you end up doing a storefront like this again you could record yourself using the cassette tapes and hook it up to speakers so audibly advertising is easier and more consistent. Also there's a Neon Sign Pack on the steam community market that might make for more eye-catching signs
You should have a sign stating "Manually hand drawn" and post a sign next to each painting stating how long it took to paint it. That would convey that actual value of these objects.

Pls dont quit making videos, this series has been so fun to watch, love your channel, and ik its hard to get customers, but probably gotta try a few days after the wipes that way the possible customers actually have scrap to buy stuff with, everyone on that server besides the 2 guys who shot at the motorbike were poor looking, also the one guy suggested 250 and 500 for the prices, that seems more reasonable since its not custom art, and thats an easier amount to obtain, if u wanna be able to sell more paintings for content, make them cheaper, or make a wheel that customers can spin that has a random discount % on different parts of it, then if its 1000 and they somehow get the tiny chance 50% discount they can be more likley to afford it
I feel like the lack of costumers is due to the high prices right after the server wipe. You had a lot of people interested, but because no one had time to farm, no one could afford to spend that much money on paintings. The paintings were gorgeous tho, the first one was amazing! I hope you make more videos, these were so much fun to watch.
Hi Landroid :) I hope you're not really quitting 😳 You just need to find more desirable motives like I.E. Military crates, the Oil-rig, Cargo ect.. Although the customer portraits are the absolute best and easiest to sell for sure, so maybe you could make a strategy on how to do both without "burning out". Having a shop is definitely cool, but it´s a lot of work and no guarantee of selling anything (as this video proved) so maybe only do that on a monthly server? Good Luck and remember: Rust is a game of Perseverance, if nothing else ;)
I like the shop you built! Maybe the lack of sales was caused by a combination of higher prices and fewer people on the server who mightve had enough time to farm enough resources after the wipe. Also, youre so funny that the video was still very enjoyable.
