I tried this tutorial and it looks fine. Can i do this operations to a whole project, to archive a template / preset? So i dont have to repeat the whole process everytime again for every clip.
What you could do is import all the media that you need for your ‚template‘ (I.e. the film frame and the grain + sfx) now put them onto your timeline, probably on V5&V6 as this is for a template and you need the video layers below for your own media - duplicate them as much as you want until you get to a good timeline length and lay everything out the way you want it to be. Once done, save the project and quit resolve (ctrl/ cmnd + s & ctrl / cmnd + q). Now open resolve once again but in your project library you want to right click on the project and select „open in read only mode“ this will basically duplicate the template project and leave the original one as is and you work in a copy of that template, so you have the original one still as a template for the next time - hope this was clear, otherwise feel free to reach out via the contact form on my website!:)

@@Prismit-m7v since 90% on my website is actually free, you can get all the free items. But for this specific one, the film grain overlays and the film frame overlays!:)
For sure! This dependsmostly on the frame rate of your clip, let's take a 24 fps clip for this example: Once you placed your clip on the timeline, right click, select retime controls. Then you should see a couple blue arrows above your clip and at the bottom of your clip you should see "100%" with a dropdown arrow next to it. Click the dropdown arrow now, go to "change speed" and change it to 50% (50% of 24 fps are 12fps! It should look choppy by now, just like the super8 did back then! ! :)

Can you show how to do the Autofill/grow effect inside fusion? There is a plugin called autofill in AE that fluidly fills the bounds of a layer, can we do the same in Resolve?
Hey there, first of all thanks for watching. We can do that in fusion or the color page, whatever you are more comfortable using. Let's say you have a white text on a black solid and you want it to be automatically filled. You could go to the fusion page with that text clip. Then you would add a mask (rectangular, ellipse or whatever) to it make it as small as you can and keyframe it at the start. Now when you move forward maybe 48 frames and make the mask as big as the text, it looks like the text gets filled in. You can also add a color node in between so that way you can also change the color of that text when the mask gets bigger! Hope this was somewhat helpful to you! :)

You forgot the most important thing with 8mm film. Its 18fps! You should know the basics if you try to make such a video.
