I like noticing some details while rewatching but Gi Hun is the only person who saved his child like innocence and believing in better tomorrow, prioritizing friendship and loyalty to community over misfortunes he's getting in his way, he's naive and rebellious,kind but infantile and ready to risk it all for games he feels excilirating about it's in his nature. He even smiles for a photo in a game he doesn't know what he's about to play while others are concerned.

I watched this episode at 7 am after a night of insomnia, and I was fine, until the last 20 minutes. It gave me so much anxiety, it lasted for an hour and a half after watching the first episode. So, since I couldn't watch the rest of the episodes, but I was really invested in the story, I started watching reactions. I'm so glad you're finally doing this show. Hope you don't get anxiety like I did.

I think this series resonated with people for a lot of reasons. For starters, it was a serious accomplishment for any foreign film to be succesful with US audiences. Gi Hun is likeable even though he kind of sucks and he's a scoundrel and has a gimbling addiction. Also, the whole concept is basically every American - so many of us are in so much debt. The cinematrography, soundtrack, acting, etc. was absolutely on point in this show. Incredible show, I hope Season 2 is good.

I actually really like the scene of him feeding the cat because I really disliked his character and how selfish he was at first. That was a small way to show that he has a caring/sweet side to him as well.
I'm not sure how far you are into this show on Patreon but you really need to switch to the regular subtitles instead of closed captions. The translations are much more accurate on the regular subtitles.

@@somdeuk_pm Since I’m of Mexican descent, apparently a lot of the Mexican dubs for the Animated Shows, Animated movies, Live-Action films and shows in the USA, and the Foreign Series and films from Japan, Korea and Europe are surprisingly very good. In the case with the live-action series and films including the Foreign series and films the directors, the engineers and the Mexican voice actors do an incredible job on matching the timing of the lip flaps and emotions on each scene.
You guys might not have seen my comment in your Train To Busan reaction (4 weeks ago) but I was the one asking about the absence of Squid Game in your channel because most reactors instantly recognized the slapping guy as the Dad in Train To Busan, or the other way around 🤣 Glad you're doing the series now!
I’m still of the belief even after rewatching this show a few times that cool twist would have been the main character of each episode to die in the game of that episode. I think it would be a cool way to bring a twist to season 2. So we continue with the storyline from season 1, while also learning new characters in the new game.
I can’t even say my favorite episode without giving anything away lol but, you guys will get to it super excited for this loved the series and can’t wait for season two. Also believe it or not some of the names to me at least got easier to say once you hear them say it enough times lol side note: during red light green light all they had to do is be still why did they all take off was kinda dumb yeah I get panic but if him moving got him killed what do you think it’s going to mean for the rest of us 😂😂
This is only a example, a small piece of idea of the show "Alice in borderland". Both the shows are about game survival but alice in borderland is more deep and there are alot of twists that gets you surprised every time

I see a lot of comments either comparing or saying one is better than the other between Squid Game and Alice in Borderland. I think both are good in their own right but both of them have flaws not only within the show but also the characters can be frustrating at times. What I will say is I think people may think one is better than the other due to relatability with one main character rather than the other and the scale between both shows.
