I bought this ryobi gun thinking it would last me a few months. I thought it would break or mess up quick. It's actually one of the best tools that I have. It's been with me 3 years. 5 days a week I use it on concrete roofs.😁😁😁

Trucker’s Destiny that’s exactly how I felt when I discovered Ryobi made a battery powered chemical sprayer for weed killer and insecticide...”No more pumping!!!”

Jack I’m reviewing their new flooring saw right now and, other than the supplied circular saw blade, it is fantastic!

If using finger, like I've done for over a quarter century, as a plumber, after application, spray soapy water, over bead, then wet finger, & remove excess.

Damn, that’s a lot of caulk to apply. I think a much thinner bead would have looked better.

I think we have the same kitchen except we are using brushed copper. What do you use to clean the sink? Our black composite granite sink looks like a million bucks when it's wet but when dry just looks awful.

Great question. We use absolutely nothing besides dish soap. Every time I wash dishes with regular Dawn dish soap, I use a blue scouring sponge to wash the other side of the sink (from the soaking dishes side). Then once the dishes are washed and rinsed, I drain the sink and rinse it out briefly with cold water.

      Thanks for replying.
We use castile soap so I guess it has some residue that isn't easily washed away. Not even SOS pads will get it looking like new again. Live and learn I guess. It may be time to replace it.
Learn from me, don't use castile soap. :)

I’ve tried using 3 tubes, and this gun has exploded them about halfway through each time

I wonder if it would have been better to lower the sink a bit, apply the caulk, then raise the sink.

Pro1er perhaps! My concern would be setup time of the caulk but that’s an interesting suggestion. Thank you for sharing.

I disagree, someone might want to change out that sink out in the future and really have a job getting that old sink out plus all the cleanup you would need to install the new sink. Just my opinion though.

That finished caulk looks terrible, sorry man but finger is not the way to go.

    • @C1418OS
      @C1418OS 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

That's his fault, not his fingers fault.
Using your finger can yield fantastic results if done properly by a skilled Craftsman.
Personally I like to use latex or nitrile gloves that way there's no chance of leaving fingerprints in the cured caulk.

@@C1418OS yeah, all my best work was done with my finger, the trick is, you gotta keep your fingers moist, but a caulking tool is great for areas like windows or moulding trim
