I came to John Zorn rather late. I used to run a CD & Record store. I got my first batch of Masada CD's in in the early 2000's & was totally blown away. The first cd's we got were mostly Masada live & some of the studio recordings. I stayed in the shop listening until 10 that night. I had always thought that Zorn's stuff was to crazy for me. I'd heard little bits of painkiller, cobra, & various other experiments but the Masada stuff was a revelation & then was quickly followed by all of the 50'th birthday recordings which I think. are one of the greatest creative Musical outpourings in the later part of the last century
PS I really love the string trio work but like one of the other posters hadn't really listened to much Uri Caine before this wonderful thoughtful playing!!!
+Marc Köberlein I love the Tzadik label! There is so much music to be explored on that label one can simply not keep up! But I try. The only music I buy these days comes from Tzadik. The Radical Jewish series is a treasure trove of wonderful music that moves my soul!
rubish music makes no sense at all ...it turns into complete useless shit....ater listening to these amazing musicians...i had the chance to see some of this guys live...ffs...soooo gooooood...
