You are most impressive. I worked in the woods for 17 years what you have been taught is phenomenal! Your most amazing for this day. Thank you!
Thanks, TreeBeing! Glad you’re liking the RatchetScrench! 😎
I'm a big guy and I don't carry as much as you do and I mostly do felling garden trees small jobs, or storm clean ups, watching you work makes me feel so lazy, I'll never complain again about carrying a bag of ropes and a saw across a field.
Can you do a video on some of the craziest tree felling experiences you've had? Trees that did crazy or unexpected things during the cutting. Or even just some of the sketchier jobs you've had to go out and do. I think that video would be pretty cool.
When you talk about suspenders, to an englishman like me it conjures up whole different vision. I had a struggle trying to keep my mind out of the gutter and in the woods.
Back to the subject of the woods, all I can say is keep up the great work and thanks for sharing it.👍
I thought we had the same axe…love my straight handle Council Tool…definitely have to get the ratchet scrench…thanks for the run down!
I think it's awesome you did this video 🙏 thank you! Stay safe out there 🤜🤛
Thank you!
I find "Forestry Suppliers" have a great selection with lower prices. But having said that, you gave great info. Thank you.
Hey Katelyn, thanks for going through your gear with us! It's always interesting to see what folks prefer to carry around while they're out in the bush - especially when they've been doing this for a while. I think a ported & piped 500i is a tough act to beat from the standpoint of the power to weight ratio. Have you tried Gordy's new WCS air cleaner system yet?
I need a new wide brim helmet, good to know you put this up.
I went from store bought, to Amish made, to Wrangler13mwz, back to Amish made pants.
Two pairs last me 3 years.
My work coat & vest are Amish made and going on 15 years old.
I am in PA run a Husky 371 with 20" bar, for about a month I put in a L-O-N-G 24" bar.
Very nice video first of all!! What impressed me so much is not the equipment but your forearms!! For women they are sick💪💪 you are a commando and I admire you!! keep up the hard work you are a very great example not only for women but also for many men 🙏👏👏 Greetings from Greece!!🇬🇷 I would like you to know that we are watching you here a lot too!! Be well🙏
Great content! Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻 The 500i is perfect for you. Excellent power to weight ratio for what you’re doing. Keep up the great content! Stay safe! ☺️
I tried all kinds of calked boots...or corks, if ur in the biz....the best i found for comfort, price & wear were westco's...don't know if ya tried um...I loved um....many years ago, now.!! Lol
I’m just not a fan of leather boots…I tried 😢
36” dang I wouldn’t even know how to handle that 😮. Great rundown. Nice to see your long form content!
Awesome to see the gear! As others have mentioned, it’s nice to get a swift kick in the ass, in the right direction. Haha. As a one man service with some lot clearing it’s nice to see someone like you that’s just slay’n it on the big stuff! Dreams!
From the wisco 🍻
My load out is usually within 100 yards 🤣, but
-261c for multi purpose saw
-661 ported for the big ones
-case skidsteer to stack/clean up
T-Dog
Thx for the info, super helpful!! Have fun out there!😎🌳🤙
Wow, thanks for sharing. I have never seen a ratcheting sqrench, that looks good. I can't believe how much gear you carry for such a petite woman. I been doing arborist work and wildland FF and rock climber and river guide I'm in good shape, (at 62) and I would be wiped out carrying that much gear, you must be very strong. Don't wear out your back, dirty hands clean money tho! Oh, and BTW your cuts look so clean and textbook, your facecuts excellent! Blessings to you
NICE!!! I wish I had seen this before I bought my 661
@@edcollins6776 661 is solid too! I like mine, just don’t need to use it too often
Nice setup. Take care and stay safe
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing!
Stay safe!
Loved your video TB! Can you share about your go to hearing protection and also in Australia we have so many little mites and biting critters like hairy catapillers, mosquitoes, bag worms, green ants, and so much more. How do you stay alive and bite free? If it is possible :)
I wear ear plugs! I try different brands from time to time but seek out the ones with the highest decibel rating.
I sometimes deal with ants, mosquitoes, scorpions, and spiders 😬 they’re annoying sometimes, but I haven’t had too terrible of a time!
Talking about your eye pro, check out a yellow lense pair if they have them. They really aid in brightening up areas like you mentioned.
I have some yellows! I like em. It’d be cool is hypsec made a pair
Love your videos & love better s penders have a few of my own oh & you pulled a guyline on that last shot but you already knew that, be safe have fun looking forward to more!!
What do you mean pulled a guy line? I didn’t pull anything!
Thanks you more to come!
Great setup of tools you need every day that work for your cutting work ! Good layout !
Cool setup your running a have a similar setup I run and I love the 500i saws I got a ported one and a stock one i still gotta get ported im usually in hardwood not much softwood, stay safe out there
Thank you so much for sharing your gear. Stay safe and keep on slaying it
Another excellent video!!
Thanks taking the time and posting it🙏🏻😊
I've been thinking about getting some corked boots lately and I just got to try out my friends 500i and now I'm looking into buying one 😁👍🏼
Hope you're enjoying the good weather 🌞
Wicked vid saw slinger 👍😎 especially the falling clip at the end 👍💪 watching from England 🇬🇧 Pfanner are my go to’s as well, Arbortec too! Comfy, breathable and light 👍 we can’t get the Meindl logger boots over here (unless I import them which would be super expensive) but I use Meindl wood walker’s, for me there’s no comparison! Take care matey 👍😎❤️🇬🇧
Thanks for the great video and wonderful gear list. What do you recommend for ear protection?
Im kind of a gear head, so you kind of answered my question about your chain saw. It has a great sound to it with great throttle response. Is it fuel injected also? Very informative video Katelyn. Thank you, stay safe and God bless.
Thank you :)
Fun video, thanks for sharing.
I rock a weaver wedge pouch and there axe pouch all the way super comfortable and very durable suspenders weaver as well. paint maker is spray paint craylon orange cant miss it.
my boots are 3m and weather treated uncorked my chainsaw chaps are echo.
My hardhat is echo as well. My hearing protection is 3m, same with my eye protection.
Great video, and I appreciate the links....keep up the good work!!🤘
I would be packing a gun being deep in those woods just in case ole smokey tries to roll up on me 😂🐻🐻🐻 very intriguing and intresting video 👍👍👍
Good video - I like the fog, darkness, and surroundings at the beginning. What about first-aid gear? Any tourniquet or gauze?
Yes that’s in the pack! And in truck
Always nice stumps...That was Cool
Really some awesome felling!
Great saw choice! Much respect!
How far do you typically have to hike into the strip? And do you pack a lunch with you or go back to a common area of some sort? Thanks and enjoying the videos!😁
Awesome sweetie love seeing you out there cutting big trees
I have custom made belt and pouches/scabbard for a different industry but I think custom is better than box store my 2c
i put high reflective tape on everything well cause im old and put shit down and forget where i put it
Smart!
You’re welcome! 🙂
What do you use for poison ivy, poison oak and ticks? Great videos!
For oak and ivy check out Tecnu kit. Get it about anywhere. Ticks check out a base layer called Rino Skin tick clothing. Helps a lot without being coated in an only God knows what chemical.
I don’t use much of anything tbh! Sometimes I’ll use tencnu beforehand, kinda like lotion, to guard against poison. And then rubbing alcohol after work if I’ve been in it
I really like how you look at the top of the tree and not your hands while you’re cutting
Awesome .... Thanks for sharing !!
❤❤Babe Power, Please be careful🙏💪🤜 out there
Please do yuo have projects of re- forests any areas that you work in
.. great ideas cool chain pouch think thank you ..!
Thank you for sharing enjoyed the video be safe.
I like your boots, i have been threw many pairs & haven’t found a good pair.
Thanks! Try these out they are solid
@ thanks, will give them a go..
Amazing video work tools,Good luck and most importantly be careful, thanks
Semangat sukses selalu untuk Kita semua 🎉🎉🎉
Saw chain you're using is it half skip or full skip
Excelente,; buen equipo!
No logging today.
I just did 625 non-stop Navy SEAL Burpees (I call them phoney baloneys) in 3hr 7min 58sec.
Because I was bored.
For of do you put earplugs in before you use the saw or do you not use earplugs of me not like that kind of hardhat i gotta have earmuffs n it helps keep the hardhat on but good job spirit sis Ty for sharing of ❤3
Cool video!
Do you have spare saw in your truck?
If don't, have your saw ever been broken and you can't fix it, so you can't continue working?
How long a ported 500i lasts?
Yeah! A couple extra in the truck. Some guys kept an extra saw close by their strip too because it was such a long hike in
Where's your hearing protection luv? The 3M corded reusable ones are my go to. I take them out of both my ears when I'm finishing up my back cut so I can hear the hinge wood giving. As a young logger I couldn't be bothered with hearing protection and now I'm paying for it : /
@@purlingbeck9805 didn’t think hearing protection was noteworthy enough! Focusing on special stuff that folks ask me about a lot. I’ve never gone a day in my career without ear pro though
@@tree_being My bad. I watched a few more of your great video's and you are wearing hearing protection.
Work safe and live long...
Cigarette buttz work well if you forget them
How do you put the chap inserts in the pants?
Thank you
What kind of radios do you guys use?
What chain you run on your 500i?
What protective trousers do you use?
@@ImNotSoll I wear jeans with inserts inside. I explain in video
Your bad ass!!! keep it up
Seems like all places are out of the skullbuckets nowadays, wonder if they still making them
Hmm idk! I didn’t realize that
Your video thumbnails are always so cute 😂 do you mainly use your phone for filming, or any other supplemental cameras? (you mentioned the light in the beginning)
Just my phone for now! I have the newer iPhone and it seems to take good quality video with the settings right
What about hearing protection?
@@mike-z9p3k I wear earplugs
So, how does one get into this line of work?
COOL!
Why do they not sell the saw's already at the lvl you're saw is ? Or has that to do with warranty etc
Cool
How much does a tree feller make?
Where is your loggerbelt and wedgepockets from?
I talk about it in the video!
Do you ever see Bigfoot when you’re out cutting in the bush?
😎💯👍Thank You
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Im more interested in the tool belt and wedge pouch
I discuss those things!
Where’s your first aid kit? And I hope you have the jelly bean dispenser as well. Maybe I’m wrong , just a thought.
In my bag!
Keep bankline on you to 40 years logger if you had 881 ms I wood have as you out 😊
No tourniquet ? Or safety gear,
You are very talented be safe
Yes, tourniquet and safety gear are in my bag. Didn’t go into details on that because that’s just basic stuff not special products
Is it rare scenario to be injured to upper body due to snapped chain? I'm just felling, limbing and bucking my own residential trees or sometimes helping my mates. I have sometimes eye protection, always loggers safety trousers and loggers gum boots.. ..people here look me weird as I'm not wearing loggers safety jacket and helmet with full face shield.
❤❤😍
🥀
No snacks?!!
Ear defenders?
There is something intoxicating about how she is able to drop a tree right where she wants it. Especially given the steepness of the hill she's working on
We're do you keep your Copenhagen! 🎉😂
Haha it’s not for me
do you get any fLack for your tin Lid from fire safety personneL
No, this is what nearly everyone wears
What backpack was that?
@@JacobPaul123 it’s some old backpack my partner gave to me! It’s not particularly noteworthy. I’m on the hunt for something better
I know Osprey back packs have a lifetime guarantee, even their zippers.
@tree_being
Bravissima 😘
💪💪💋
Hai 😊😊💪💪👍👍
I can’t really understand the jeans. You must have find a relly good pair. I mean i would be so damn hot and stiff.
Keep it up! ✊
Hello, can I ask you something?
