So I've just discovered the Red Green TH-cam channel in 2022 and I plan to watch an episode every morning just like I did when I was a kid. Keep your stick on the ice, folks.
Just learned that The Red Green Show has its own youtube channel with every episode available... I'm not ashamed to admit this may be one of the best days of 2016 for me.
leocorn: That is because it pushes socialism a bit. "We are all in this together", but he has mentioned in a couple of episodes that they don't pay taxes.
The entirety of Red Green has been available on TH-cam for years now and I haven't known about it until now?! Better late than never, at least-- I am excite!
I was born and raised in Wisconsin in the mid to late 90s and this show was on every Saturday night on the PBS channel. THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING EVERY EPISODE AND SEASON!!!
Watched this show off and on as a kid when new episodes were coming out, didn’t even realize that red green himself made sure that all these episodes were available, watch this for the first time all the way through in 2017 and then I’m looking to do one more time in 2023
I used to spend summers in northern Michigan. Your TV options outside of sports were limited. Red Green on PBS was a godsend. Very cool of them to allow us all to revisit these.
@@seahorsemafia you’d be surprised! I just finished the last episode on this channel yesterday morning after nearly three years, and the comments from Americans are all over the country. The ones I saw mostly are from Michigan, Washington, the upper New York area, and surprisingly enough the South. Red Green on PBS hit a lot of more rural communities that seemed to of saw people they knew in the show’s characters. I’m sad I’m done with it now, but it was a great watch after long days at work.
I watched Red Green on my local PBS station in the 90's and 00's. Loved them then, love them now. When the pandemic hit, and I wanted something other than daily death tally, I searched out Red Green, and have been rewatching them all since. Amazing, the little background things you notice each time you watch an episode. Thank you to Steve Smith et al.
Whenever I'm feeling down I always come back to this show. It reminds me of hanging with my step dad and watching this. We loved this show. Now, I like to share the giggles with my son. Red green is the greatest!
I remember watching this every Saturday night growing up. And when the movie came out trying to explain to my parents why i wanted to see it. I was single digits but knew this show was a timeless classic.
Me and my Grampa LOVED this show back in the day when it aired live. And tonight, after supper, Grampa's gonna get an awesome surprise by way of me hooking up their TV by HDMI to my laptop and having a Red Green mini marathon! :D I think I'll ask him to make popcorn too, that's one of his things in the evening and it will match up perfectly. :D
Comedy does not have to be crude and have vile language in it to be funny. This show is living proof of that. Also Corner Gas is one I watch over and over again
I absolutely loved the red green show when I was a kid!!!! IMO it was the best show PBS could hope for and even better was NO COMMERCIALS! "The red green show is brought to you by viewers like you." Fantastic!
PBS (at least the two affiliates in my area--Blue Ridge and West Virginia PBS) dropped the show (and all the British comedies they often aired) quite some time ago in favor of lousy British soaps--Call the Midwife comes to mind; which was the first that replaced the Red Green Show. I don't know what they're thinking, but the PBS schedule here has not been skewing the "average Joe" in years. It's really skewing a wealthier, highly educated audience. I have a BS, but those boring British shows are less interesting than watching paint dry. Along with Heartland (another very long-running Canadian series; which right now is tying Red Green in terms of longevity), this is one of just a few shows that I've talked to several people of basically any demographic who know about the show and they all love it.
I missed the last few seasons of this show and was so happy to see it pop up on TH-cam. Now that I found it again I plan on watching all 15 seasons from beginning to end.
In retrospect, it is hard for me to believe, but the very first web-site I ever visited was for the Red Green show. Had to be about 24-25 years ago. It gave me a false expectation as to the quality of the Internet.
I'm an American and I love watching the Red Green Show, I'm not trying to make it a problem or an issue, no t one reason I like Canada is one man who came from Canada to America, long time ago, this man brought with him ,a design, I'm speaking of Mr Gerand . Thank you...,

Gee this shows funny! I can't believe it's taken three decades for me to start watching The Red Green Show. I don't think it ever aired here in Australia.
as an american i can tell you this canadian show is the most australian thing you will ever see as long as you ignore the funny accents ( as i do) Cheers!
I’m 38 years old I live in America I never heard of this show. So I’m here to watch every single episode from start to finish. I watched a few clips for about 10 minutes and my cheeks are killing me from laughing so hard.
This brings me back memories. Growing up in Detroit, I’d watch this show on wtvs detroit since Canada was our next door neighbor. Seeing the early episodes it is so interesting.
Well, yeah, I think it's not really scripted, which is why Red seems a little stiff and awkward, probably hadn't even had acting lessons, couldn't improvise after making a mistake.
Red is such a different character in Season 1. He is very grumpy and dour, almost mean-spirited at times, without the gregarious charm that made him much more relatable in later seasons. I also find Season 1 to be very repetitive in its skits and formula. But boy do I love Gordon Pinsent's rambling tall-tales.

WoW! I was today years old (September 17, 2024) seeing the first Red Green Show episode!! Show really changed through the years, which was a good thing😉
Mr "Duct Tape", great simple humor! Can't remember the last time I saw Red Green Show. Used to watch on PBS, religiously. Always good for the laughs...
Gotta love TH-cam. I first encountered Red Green during a brief stint living in Canada when I was 11… I think a lot of it went over my head at the time, so it’s fun to look back on it in my thirties and see what I missed the first time around.
I used to catch this show off and on in the 90’s, at weird times at night during the week, on a Sunday in the middle of the day, just flipping through channels and would catch it for a bit, never knew the name until yesterday while looking for a movie on Redbox Rewind. Then I saw that there is a whole Red Green channel on LG TV.
I was an urban teen when I first encountered this show, and - needless to say, I expect - never managed to get any of my friends into it. But I recorded it religiously on VHS, and still have a library of tapes that I haven't been able to watch in over a decade. So glad to find it here - just hearing that theme song warms my heart.
I live in Northern Michigan and sometimes I’d skip school just to watch this. Now that I’m grown I identify with Red more than ever and know someone exactly like every character on the show- especially through work.
Cleveland, Ohio here. I used to watch this all the time with my dad late at night on PBS. Upper Midwest and Northern Ohio are so similar to Canada, and I love it.
I think the Red Green show is the only show I have ever seen that had a level amount of episodes for each season. 15 seasons and 20 episodes per season makes 300 episodes. It doesn't have one season with 14 shows and another with 16 shows, etc. It has an even 20 episodes per season. Happy 25th anniversary Red Green Show.
Look more carefully, because Star Trek TNG and DS9 had 26 episodes per season (except one year when they went on strike, which aborted the year early). Quantum Leap was 26 episodes per season, the X-files was 24 per season, Babylon 5 was 22 episodes per season, and so on. LOTS of TV executives order a fixed number of episodes year-after-year .
Just discovered this website .I thought Red Green was gone forever. What joy to find he has a website with the old shows, and a bunch of new stuff. Today is Sunday Sept. 20, 2020. Covid 19 Bull Crap is driving me crazy! This will help me get through it. God Bless Uncle Red and his Nephew Herald. These shows and clips are true classic television. Thanks
The first couple of seasons are the best, because they had the smallest budget and the least "effects," so they had to be creative and imaginative with ordinary props and words. Red's stories in the first couple of seasons are the best of the whole series.
Wowww just now discovered this YT channel. Makes me feel like a kid again. Some Red Green and then fall asleep to Jack Horkheimer Star Gazer on PBS/KBTC. Time goes by too freaking fast 🥲
I remember coming across this show by chance on Nebraska PBS in the mid 90s one Saturday night and just falling in love with it. It was something my mom and I would watch and bond over every weekend. And then years later it would be a bonding topic with my electronics technology instructors. ❤ Red Green will always have a special place in my heart.
In case anyone doesn't get the joke of Hap's story, a league is a measurement of distance traveled underwater, and a fathom is a measure of depth (i.e., how far you went and how far down you were, respectively). If you actually managed to travel the equivalent to 20,000 leagues deep, you'd hit rock, travel through the Earth, and wind up leaving the atmosphere on the other side before you hit the halfway mark.
This show got me through a very rough period of my life. It used to be carried on PBS down her in Florida. So glad I found this channel. Red Green Show was golden.
I'm from Michigan. And I love this show every since it first came out. God bless everybody involved with the show and thank you for the many blessed years of entertainment you've given us. I'll tell you what it's all aboot. One of the greatest comedy shows ever to come out of the Great White North.
Ha i watched this show all the time when i was little. I love re-watching this show as a 21 year old, and catching all the references I missed or didn't understand.
I use to watch The Red Green Show over 20 years ago on public television and loved it. I just discovered it today on youtube. I totally forgot about the character Bill. I loved that the episodes all had the same format. I even stood in line one time for book signing from Steve Smith.
I am SOOOOO happy these are up. I've been looking for the first seasons for ages. So sick of the "New Red Green" show constantly being rerun on PBS. The old ones are the only way to go. THANK YOU!
My son and I used to watch Red Green and when the show ended he cried because he loved it so much. Then I told him the reruns would still be shown on tv, and they were, so he was happy
Man something about the slower pace of these earlier episodes is wicked cool. Definitely like the joke of handyman corner being that red green is completely incompetent
Back in the early 2000s, my welding teacher would play the Red Green Show whenever we had free time. It was the first time I had ever heard of the Red Green Show. Then I started watching PBS and noticed it come on there. Apparently they even had a movie called duct tape forever. God I love this show. I recommend it every chance I get whenever I meet someone new. That is of course if I think they're the type of person who might like it.
I remember watching this as a kid with my parents. Being from michigan, this show has always hit home in the best way. My parents still have their Opossum lodge handbook from a live show years ago. Glad to see people still enjoying this show years\decades later.
grew up watching this well before i had cable and man, the amount of jokes that wouldve soared above my head. way ahead of its time, a true treasure.
So I've just discovered the Red Green TH-cam channel in 2022 and I plan to watch an episode every morning just like I did when I was a kid. Keep your stick on the ice, folks.

leocorn58 I came looking for it after someone quoted the show in a Reddit comment.
leocorn58 I weeped openly when I found this.

Trailer Park Boys is the best Canadian show hands down!
This thread has some of my favourite shows of all time damn
One of THE finest comedies
A fan since 1991. Thank you for a great show!
- Red, you are sublime. This many years later and still hitting on all cylinders. Enjoy yourself crazy man, you deserve it.
Red with a dark beard is different. Loved the show for many years.
This brings back childhood memories for me!!

Wow just found this! Great to see the beginning of a Canadian Legend!! A must-see for all red green viewers!!
Thankful to find this again. Loved the canoe part.
This is my dad's and my favorite show we watched it every Saturday night on pbs when I was a kid it's still amazing
I used to watch this show back in the day with my father and have a few cold ones together. Man this brings back memories! Great show!
I am SOOOOO happy these are up. I've been looking for the first seasons for ages. So sick of the "New Red Green" show constantly being rerun on PBS. The old ones are the only way to go. THANK YOU!
I remember this would come on PBS Saturday nights 😂😊
Loved how the Adventures With Bill Segment was shot at Lasalle Park and Marina in Burlington, Ontario.
Not too many people can play the spoons! I'm impressed! 👏
My son and I used to watch Red Green and when the show ended he cried because he loved it so much. Then I told him the reruns would still be shown on tv, and they were, so he was happy

The Winter of our Discount Tent. *laughs* gotta love it.
I remember watching this show on Saturday nights on PBS in West Virginia. I'd always watch it when visiting my family. Truly original.
Wow,it's amazing how many different characters they had in the earlier seasons that we never saw from again. Great vintage memories of the show.
I remember watching this as a kid with my parents. Being from michigan, this show has always hit home in the best way. My parents still have their Opossum lodge handbook from a live show years ago. Glad to see people still enjoying this show years\decades later.
Thanks to this man's timeless advice, my dog now stays put, my truck never breaks down, and my wife is never gonna leave me. Duct tape is great!
i just discovered this show and it's hilarious 🤣🤣🤣
We're glad you're here. All 15 seasons are here on TH-cam. Keep your stick on the ice!
