    Wow those all look like amazing waterfalls in Tennessee! Those water crossings seem pretty fun and adventurous :) I might need to make a trip up there!

      The water crossings definitely made it more adventurous for me. Next time I would take water shoes because my tennis shoes were so soggy.

    Oh wow... it's incredible how beautiful nature is in the USA! That waterfall at the beginning was just stunning. The water crossings add some adventure spirit :)

    Dang, 18 water crossings. LOL at sparing us on the water crossings. :) haha, i'm afraid of falling too!

      Yeah, the nine crossings to the cliffs were pretty much the same. But I did get better on the return. :-)

    I felt like I was hiking ride along side you! What a beautiful hiking spot! I don't think I would have been brave enough to cross some of the water and/or that cliff!!! Thanks for sharing!

      The great thing about it was that it was totally unexpected. I didn't plan it at all, but when someone mentioned it I just went for it!

    Loved the hike! We've spent a fair amount of time in the Gatlinburg area (Great Smokies) but have never been in the Sparta area, very beautiful. My husband is an AF veteran, so I'm so happy to have found your channel. I have liked and subscribed! Have a blessed day --Stacy 😍❤

      Thanks for subscribing. I just did the same for your channel. I love cooking shows. I attempted to make a few cooking videos too, but I really need to work on it. Do you have a blog too or just the TH-cam channel?

      Chickery's Travels - thank you so much for subscribing! I blogged for over 10 years, but have switched to personal journaling and the public video blogging on TH-cam. I have a Pinterest account, where I pin recipes that i want to try, many categories, and then a folder that contains recipes I have tried and we deem keepers. If you are interested in that info, just shoot me an email and I'll be glad to send you a link. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a very blessed day! --Stacy 😍❤

    5.5 roundtrip. Sounds like a long hike. I'm glad you had that rope so you didn't slip. Or mess up the iPhone.

    What an awesome park to have a hiking adventure at. Don't remember the last time I had to cross the river where there was not bridge. Although I have been in all 50 states, Tennessee is one of the least explored states for me. I have not been anywhere in the state outside of Memphis. Hopefully, I will be able to explore Burgess Falls and Window Cliffs State Natural Area one day.

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      And I almost missed this gem. A ranger just happened to mention it when I was at Burgess Falls. Lucky for me!

    I haven't been there in a long time. See any cool critters at the water crossings?

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, no critters. I didn't really even see any birds on this trip. We're in Florida now though, and I see lizards, snakes, and all manner of birds daily!

      I just saw a big alligator floating down the river here in Florida today!

    Those waterfalls look gorgeous! It's a shame the staircase down is closed, I'm sure that would be an incredible hike

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was a little disappointed about the staircase, but the second hike at Windows Cliffs made up for it.

    • @TabsLife
      @TabsLife 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It actually was amazing! It was a spiral staircase leading to the bottom of the falls. It was beautiful! Hopefully they get it fixed soon! 😊

  • @newfound_adventures
    @newfound_adventures 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are those stairs still under construction?

    • @ChickerysTravels
      @ChickerysTravels  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They were when we went back last summer. The ranger said they didn’t have the funds for the repairs to even start.
