You want to communicate between the smartphone and a CODESYS PLC? This will not work with the simulation. You need a SoftPLC on the one side and any compatible communication client on the other side. E.g. using OPC UA Server on the CODESYS side and a OPC UA Client on the smartphone. For Android there is an open client called Prosys OPC UA Client, maybe there is something similar available for i/os.

Hi, Once I upload my program to the Pi through the Ethernet connection does the Pi then work as a stand-alone PLC without being on the network. I'm looking to use my program where there is no connectivity to the internet or even a LAN connection with the laptop. Cheers.
