  • Today's recipe is આથો (કાચું કાટલું), માતા માટે ખાસ અને દરેક સ્ત્રીઓ માંકમર અને ઘુટણનો દુખાવો દુર કરનાર વસાણું | Aatho
    This recipe is a very old days recipe of Aatho. Usually, we Gujarati interpret aatho as fermentation, but here, aatho is used for such a marvelous recipe gifted to us by our grand elders. In old days, this recipe was used to feed the mother instantly after delivery to heal her wound. This food is so energetic and has numerous healing properties that, one week intake by mother completely used to rejuvenate mother as prior to delivery.
    It's not just about mother after delivery, but this recipe is very much useful for every woman. Regular intake of this food during the winter season (Usually one tablespoon daily) keeps back pain and knee pain at bay lifelong with increased energy levels.
    This recipe is the very first time being presented on TH-cam by The Kitchen Series.
    𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 & 𝗠𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱:
    250 grams pure ghee
    150 grams organic jaggery
    50 grams cube sugar
    50 grams dry coconut sleeves
    50 grams edible gum
    25 grams almond sleeves
    25 grams cashew pieces
    25 grams pistachio pieces
    25 grams apricot pieces
    25 grams walnut pieces
    25 grams dry dates pieces
    25 grams raisins
    20 grams charoli (Cuddapah almonds)
    20 grams poppy seeds
    20 grams magaj (watermelon seeds)
    20 grams dry ginger powder
    Optional:
    - 20 grams piplamul powder may be added
    - 20 grams roasted makhana powder may be added
    Powder of half nutmeg & five cardamom
    Roast almond sleeves, cashew pieces, and walnut pieces at low flame of gas. When it changes color a little, add charoli. Roast everything while continuously stirring. Keep it aside in the dish when roasted.
    Roast magaj (watermelon seeds) and poppy seeds at low flame in the same pan. Stir continuously. When poppy seeds starts crackling and watermelon seeds get inflated, transfer it to a dish.
    Roast coconut sleeves. Stir continuously. Take care while roasting coconut sleeves, as it is burnt otherwise. Keep it aside is a dish when roasted.
    Now, add two tbsp ghee in the same pan. Add edible gum. When gum crackles, transfer it to a dish. Crush it using a masher.
    Now, tale jaggery in a wide shaped bowl. Heat remaining ghee in a pan. when ghee gets dissolved turn off the gas. Add dissolved ghee on jaggery in a bowl. Mix jaggery and hot ghee till jaggery mixes uniformly with ghee.
    Now add each roasted ingredients one by one and 25 grams raisins, Powder of half nutmeg & five cardamom, 20 grams dry ginger powder. Mix everything well.

      અમને પણ જ્યારે જ્યારે જુની રેસીપી શોધવાની કોશીશ કરી તો એ મળવામાં તકલીફ પડતી, આથી જ જે જુની રેસીપી મળે અને અમે પરફેકટ બનાવી શકીએ એટલે કોશીશ કરીએ છીએ કે તેનો વિડિયો મુકીએ.... જેથી તે ઓનલાઈન કાયમ સચવાઈ રહે અને જેને જરુર હોય એને કામ આવી શકે...

      Yes, this is very old recipe, possibly in knowledge of grandma.... It is very healthy and very helpful to mother just after delivery for recouping lost energy level due to labour pain.
