So welcome to my new declutter series, where this time im being BRUTAL and really getting rid of what I do not use! I am over keeping makeup for the sake of it so we are gonna be going through my entire collection and getting rid of what I don't want, don't use and doesn't bring me joy! How can you not cry parting with them, they cost so much money, I'm the same tho I have my faves, I think a nice neutral palette and I'll be happy, most of the new ones ain't unique enough to buy no more 🤷♀️ x

It's good to thin out, least if something new comes out u have room for it 😉 not much interesting out tho. Not even much I want apart from powders I cried just about this morning my only translucent ran out, it's only 9 quid to buy 😂😂 so much foundations and concealers, I also need to thin out on them x

I love watching declutters. I would much rather watch a series from a single palette or '10 looks - 1 palette' kind of videos, rather than a one off then move straight on to the next new item on the market. I feel so overwhelmed but yet underwhelmed with what's out there right now. I don't think we are getting value for money. I have just ordered the mmmitchell palette from beauty bay then I'm on a no spend until after Xmas. Love you as always xxx
RunawayInk yes! I would love "10 looks, one palette" videos, but i also understand those would take forever to film, so they would be very time consuming for her, and maybe not the best "business" move. But one video like those a month would be bomb!

I’m feeling the same right now with my makeup. So bored, uninspired and fed up with the constant releases. I’ve been watching a lot of “old palettes new looks” types of palettes and really enjoying people using what they have rather than constantly reviewing new products that will just sit in their drawers... I’m just rambling at this point but thank you for your honesty and sharing where you’re at too!

You should watch Whitney Hedrick. She is a TH-camr who went on a 2019 nobuy and added up the price of her collection. I think it was 13,000$ and she actually uses about 900$ regularly. She had really great videos on hyper consumerism in make up and how feel like we HaVE to buy every new release.

I'm following her and doing a no buy in 2020. I just started doing makeup in November 2018 and have spent close to $4k already. Its truly ridiculous.
Honestly, a great technique is really looking at colors. When it comes to pallets most of them rotate the same shades. Ive passed up high end brands and releases because I have those shades or similar in another pallete. That helps me decide what's really necessary to buy. Its very tempting to buy everything but you can't use it all, nor will you if you already have the shades in another palette.

Yep! Whitney is amazing! But before this new stage of her, she “made” me buy a lot of Mac singles! 😂😂😂 and at least 3 pots of sugar pill’s lumi pigment

I don’t see anything wrong with keeping lots of palettes. Sometimes I think I don’t really care about a palette but then down the line I end up being super happy I kept it. I know it sounds silly, but I think having tons of makeup is fine lol! Great video! Beautiful collection

Don't feel guilty for any amount of makeup that you own or want. It's normal, makeup is a huge passion (but expensive hobby xD)
I don't feel bad wanting and buying makeup I feel bad for not giving enough love to everything that I own, that's the main reason I started doing panning challenges.. 😽
I loove these decluttering videos ! It's so calming to watch. Except when u got rid of the Jawbreaker palette 😱, I just got it two weeks ago and I absolutely love all the colors in it. It inspires me so much, but I agree the quality isn't as good (in some shades) as his other palettes. 🤗

The constant bombardment of new products now really is insane.
I almost feel pressured to buy even when I know I don't need or really want anything.

I feel exactly the same. I can’t stand it anymore. It’s taking away the fun of makeup and also the ‘enjoyment’ of saving up for a new release x
I know a lot of people feel like this and I always get confused. maybe is cause I’m the other way around it’s really hard for me to buy just cause I want it. I always catch myself thinking is it a want or a need? And if it’s a need do I reeeally need it...I always end up convincing myself that I don’t and I never get anything. Right now i have like three different foundations cause it’s ridiculously hard for me to find something that is my skin tone and the type of formula that i like, and i feel super guilty about it. I tested them but it’s hard to tell just by being tested if they’re gonna work...I’m so hard on myself sometimes 😓

Well done on your declutter! I don’t have this many palettes but I can certainly understand how easy it is to get caught up with ‘needing’ to buy/try every new release, but in doing that it’s easy to forget about products you already have that work for you! 💕

I'm so proud of your declutter! Sometimes we don't realize how much makeup we have until we become so overwhelmed and then we don't know what to do. I was going through a lot a few years back and my coping mechanism was to spend money on makeup and nail polish and I knew several people who would encourage my spending instead of knocking some sense into me and encouraging me to seek help (I no longer speak to them thank goodness and I've gotten help). Now I've downsized my makeup and nail polish collection SO MUCH and hardly ever buy them now because I am doing my best to use up what I have but I still have a lot 😤 I always keep a box or small basket around though and will go through my makeup and nail polishes every now and then and put things in there that I just get no use out of (no matter how much I tell myself that I'll use them at some point). I'll declutter stuff that I know my friends and family will get a better use out of and when they come over they'll go through it and pick stuff they like, or sometimes I'll even take the box or basket with me when I visit them and they'll go through it. Sometimes it's difficult to part with products, but it makes me happy to see my friends and family find use out of the products that I would've had just sitting there 😊
It’s definitely hard to part with high end stuff. You sit and think - I spend £56 on this palette!! I don’t wanna get rid of it but I’ve not used it in 6 months! X
@@Makemeupmissa Yes getting rid of high end is the worst! 😢 It's more of an investment and is so much harder to part with even if there's some shades you haven't even touched at all. You kind of just end up keeping stuff just to keep stuff. Most of my high end stuff consisted of Tarte. I was a Tarte junkie for a couple of years and I would buy every palette they would come out with without putting any thought on if I would ever actually use them. I've only kept 4 of their palettes out of all the ones I've decluttered. I gave the ones I decluttered to my cousin and her mom and they've already hit pan in some of the palettes lol
First, I'm so proud of you for deciding to go no buy and stick with it! It has been super challenging for me, but you are encouraging me! Second, thank you for being realistic in your collection goals! We all have one face and the average consumer simply can't keep up with the beauty industry and new releases every day/week and have a healthy relationship with money/debt. I love watching your videos, I'd love to see a project pan, no pan left behind, or a use what you got series from you! You are so inspiring, I know you are struggling right now with pain, as a fellow pain 'warrior' you aren't alone! Thank you for making videos!

It's good that you and we are aware to be mindful of our purchases. Dedicate time to appreciate and use the products that you really love! Would love to see looks with videos with palettes makeup you already have to inspire the rest of us to make use and use up what we already have. Also make videos do not buy this product if you already have this etc! But good job
You are so pretty and I wish I had your collection!! And I know what you mean. I am constantly rearranging and tossing and gifting things I never used. It's the circle of makeup life! I find at times I will buy something expecting to love it but then you never reach for it after the first honeymoon look.

I have an idea for another series you could do!! It could be similar to Shaaanxo's rainbow series, but in each video you can swatch all of your top fav eyeshadows/products for that color. Like for example, if you do a teal eyeshadow look, you can swatch all of your favorite pigmented teals. For reds, you can do the same, but also swatch your fav red lippies. I know this could take a very long time to film lol. I remember years ago Carli Bybel did it on her channel and I loved it....but again it was like in 2014

It’s always good to have a clear out...its like a spring clean for the mind as well. I will never have this problem, I’ve only got 5 eyeshadow palettes with no plans for anymore lol, being a neutral AF kind of person makes it a bit pointless...only so many shades of nude! Definitely recommend trying the Colourpop Chasing rainbows palettes sparkly dark green and the orange red matte colour together in a look. They make a great pair. 😍

i came here for the eyeshadow declutter; i love watching these vids bc i looooove love love eyeshadow palettes (they're my fave part of make up lol but ALSO in terms of buying they help me find/make me aware of what i'm looking for or what i feel is missing - certain colour schemes etc) but DAMN i can't get over how pretty this eyeshadow look is omgggggg

I went through my draws 2 days ago. It was time to sort them out and see what needed decluttering when I realised that I was moving stuff in another draw to make room for more palettes. I had 2 draws and was moving stuff so I had 3 draws and was like this is way too excessive. I'm at 1 and a half draws now. I love watching decluttering videos because it makes me think about my own collection and do I really need it all and have I gone overboard with the amount of makeup.

This video could have been me with the Revolution part... I bought sooo many of their eyeshadow palettes within the last 6 months, and now I find I've decluttered most of them lately! What is with that?! I have gone right off them atm. I kept a few that I like better, but still not really reaching for them tbh 🤔 xo
