  • We teamed up with @Acmetools to review this SawStop 10" Compact Table Saw. #sponsored 10-inch carbide tooth saw blade turning at 4,000 RPM. Can you make this safe? Probably not. However, SawStop has done its best to lessen the severity of injuries on their SawStop Table Saws. Even this CTS 10" Compact Table Saw includes its Active Injury Mitigation (AIM), which fires a chunk of aluminum into the spinning blade when it senses flesh. Flesh-sensing blade technology. You can get this saw from ACME Tools for $899.

While I am a blue collar tradesmen, I’m not a carpenter, builder, or any other woodworker. I watch plenty of tool shows/reviews so I was aware of the saw stop technology and what it did, but I’ve never seen such a full review of any of their products. To my untrained eyes this saw appears to be extremely well thought out, engineered, and built. Thanks for the awesome and in depth review!

It is difficult to say just how remarkable that saw is. Thank you for a very indepth review, especially how the system works. I honestly had no idea it would react with such force. To break off a couple of the carbide teeth is pretty dang impressive.
I must admit, i felt uneasy watching your finger move towards the blade.
Thanks to you and saw stop for showing us how the technology works.

Great review. Thanks for showing all the little details like how to square the blade and fence. Also, how wobbly that stand is, lol.

Thats a nice table saw. A freind that cut his hand numerous times, refused to use a saw with a safety feature like that, because he didn't want to buy the cartridges and blades. Now thats stupid. He reasoned cutting himself would be less expensive and he was pretty sure that he was going to do it again. I lost count. At least 4 times he cut pieces of fingers off. You cant fix stupid.

@@barneycarparts well.im talking about when they first came out 25 years ago. Also, the individual that I referenced got himself killed 10 years ago, being stupid with something else.

If I ever meet the guy that created the saw stop, I’m gonna give him a massive high 4!

Isn't Acme Tools where the coyote gets his supplies to catch the Roadrunner? 😂 Seriously, it looks like it's a well thought out saw, even innovative. The angle adjustment looks great.
