- I made a video on Friday as a commentary and parody (as fair use). Sarabeautycorner took advantage of the situation to claim my whole video and benefit from the entire monetization for a 30 SECOND clip that was detected by the youtube bot. She took this opportunity to punish my whole video. We exchanged emails and we do not agree with each other. TH-cam said there's nothing they can do about it. This is not fair for a TH-camr like this to have full and final say over someone else's content that IS NOT A REUPLOAD.

This is legit so messed up, like, it’s a thirty second clip. I bet she hasn’t even watched the video and just went straight into claiming all of the money. Like, that’s seriously messed up. There are so many TH-camrs out there that are all about money. It happens a lot with larger channels. I think it’s ridiculous.

This is a personal attack from her on you in my opinion. You honestly criticised her work in a fair way, you presented her video with commentary and even had a part of the video be parody. By all means you did a fair use and you have been taken advantage of a big channel because she clearly didn't like your content. I am so salty about this because TH-cam is responsible for the people who use it. So they should be INVOLVED in ANY copyright situations. There should be an investigation and the lack of evidence for sarabeauty whats her name is ridiculous. She gets millions of views she didn't need the money from that video. She did it because she didn't like the content and is punishing your creative opinion which is crap. #SaltyGrains

Sarabeautycorner to some it up, is taking all the money from the video made, where Jackie our beloved salt queen reviewed her video. She gave criticism, made a parody, and gave overall commentary of Sarabeautycorner's content in which she used clips from the original content as reference for us the viewers and herself as she recreated some of the DIY items. What happens is for 30 seconds there is the vid reference from Sara's original content and a youtube bot, not even a real person, noticed this and flagged the video for potential copyright problems. So instead of TH-cam investigating it themselves they AUTOMATICALLY send it to Sarabeautycorner and she takes full claim of the video. This means she takes ALL PROFIT for the video that Jackie did. There is some explanation about Sara 'tired of people reuploading her content' and there was a disagreement about what Fair Use actually is. Sarabeautycorner is taking advantage of Jackie because of an honest negative review, the punishment is holding the copyright claim of the video 'hostage'. So that is what's going down. Now we're waiting for youtube to do the right thing.
Orrr maybe she's so full of herself that she feels it's okay to treat others badly. Somehow, I doubt she even watched Jackie's video. She probably gets a lot of such notifications from the TH-cam bot and just doesn't give herself a chance to properly review it because it's just easier to claim videos than to investigate the matter for the good of other channels.

I’ve seen your tweets on Twitter. I asked her to release the video too. I don’t think she cares what I say but wh not try? You can take her to court if it gets too far. She’s stealing from you. when I see a subject I like, I watch all the various you tubers that make a video on that subject. I think it's cool to see each person's take on it. Everyone is different. There's a couple people I don't watch but for the most part, I like to see lots of viewpoints.

Because of my experience at film high school, I had to take a class on the legality of fair use, and unless the laws have changed since then, you were in the right. I support you!
Well, because TH-cam as a company are too cheap and lazy to hire REAL human moderators to handle these claims and disputes, fair use is not being correctly and lawfully respected on this site. Anyone can claim that just about ANY video is theirs/stolen and the TH-cam bot's default immediate reaction is to apply the strike against the video creator--there's no "review the claim first and then decide whether or not the strike should be applied", they do it completely reverse. In order for NerdECrafter to be able to reclaim monetization of her own video, she'd have to go through this huge lengthy appeal process (which even THEN isn't guaranteed to work because again ... they're handled by bots, not people). It's a truly ridiculous and ass-backwards system, and its a wonder how TH-cam is legally capable of getting away with this, to be honest. =/

Now, I think this whole issue is silly and Sarabeautycorner or whatever her name is is being greedy and should stop this. Heck, she's probably done this to other people and we just don't hear about it.
@@YeenQueenTTV while I agree that there needs to be an overhaul on how youtube handles these situations, calling them "lazy and cheap" is ridiculous and shows that you don't have aclear idea of what goes behind the scenes. The only reason YT still exists is because it's owned by Google, which has the resources to let a format that hemorrhages money every year. Google keeps YT going solely on how massive and popular it is. They make no profit from this site.
