Congratulations! 100,000 is a big number. I've wondered if you have addressed how to deal with a whole bunch of online trees that have wrong ancestors in their tree....I have my gr gr grandfather who died in England in 1887 but people are showing him as moving to Canada and having another whole family....if it was just one or two who have claimed him that would be easy but it's a bunch...just one example.
I don't bother trying to get others to fix their trees. Life is too short and I have too much research to do. Here's what I do. I research thoroughly, document and share on my tree for others to find. I make my tree the best it can be and move on. Life is too short to stress over others mistakes. Rock on!

On the military records that were destroyed, all four branches were included some worse than others. Especially the army records. I personally know a Navy person an Air Force and a Marine corps personnel that their records were destroyed.

For Nathan: (and Connie you might mention this later, I paused to type this) use OCR, handwriting can sometimes be hard if you're not used to it (and some people had horrible handwriting, this is something I try to imply in my students, penmanship is important)

Me neither. For military records start with Fold3. Also the National Archives in St. Louis if you’re in the U.S.
