Thank you, my fishy Chum. It was fishing is about to me, peace and relaxation. I don't miss the hassle of fishing matches, preparing bait for a week, and fishing like a madman to get on the money. These days, it's about enjoying the air. Tight lines, my friend.
Brilliant Video I only stumbled across you other day by accident I fish alot in hartlepool and film for my youtube your vids are mint got alot of catching up to do lol & I fished the beach a dog came other did its business on my bag was fuming
Hi Gilly. Thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate it. I love animals, but would prefer not to have them parking their waste on my gear 🤣. Tight lines my Chum.
Yeah definitely I would have said something but it was a little old woman & I love animals just I chose to have kids and with 6 think that's enough 🤣🤣🤣
Glad I’m not the only one who occasionally has a struggle with juggling flounders 😅. Stunning weather for it mate! Had issues with swimmers & dog walkers there before, no common sense whatsoever or mutual respect from them either. Still yet to get a plaice this year but if it’s going to be anywhere with the pier being closed it’ll be the small beach, brigade hut upwards to the first gate or elsewhere. Well in mate 🎣
@@northeastangling usually my favourite shot that stretch, conditions were perfect last time I was out, but alas Dabs & Flounders, no complaints however. Hopefully another few weeks and they’ll really start to show 🤞
Hi Darren, lovely content as always. I find Fishing for flatties a real pleasure, I live in South Yorkshire so the closest venue is the Humber where I have caught many a flounder. I have been up to the NE many times over the years, Shields and Little Haven being a place I do like, stayed at the Hotel and fished in front of it a couple of times. Watching your vid, I think I’ve been casting too far out at that venue. Interesting you say you’d been catching on worm rather than the mackerel at one point, loads of the chaps on the Humber say the flounder fall to mackie and / or prawn where as my experience has been worm either rag or lug including grotty snotty rag have produced fish when the fish baits have struggled 🤷. Anyway, another great watch and promo for Shields, the people and the fishing are great though I have been on the pier when the gates are locked and been a nervous wreck as a young couple passed themselves with a child and buggy and fishing gear around the gate to do a bit of mackie bashing…. I wouldn’t mind but I and others were catching without risking life and limb on the correct side of the gate! Keep the content coming, I forgot to mention on a previous comment that the 30 min vids you do are excellent so for me there’s no need to shorten them.
Thank you, Gary. I love fishing for all flatfish. I find it light and relaxing. Sharpening your skills to target these fish is fun. I used to match fish many years ago, and I missed entirely the sheer fun and relaxation this fishing can offer. I find different venues demand different baits for flounder. On the Nortumberland beaches, fish baits tend to tempt the bigger fish, while worm baits can still be constant, but crab baits useless unless you're fishing the estuaries. Thanks for watching and tight lines.
Hi Simon. No, I have been having a lot of shoulder issues. Continual fly casting just is not possible at the moment. I will get some vids done as soon as I can 👍
Hi. The small groyne to the immediate left is Herd Groyne. Behind that in the background is Tynemouth Pier. To the Right is South shields pier. Many thanks thanks for watching ❤
Well done on first Dab of season and what a cracking Flounder! 👏😁🎣🎣🎣
Cheers buddy. Beautiful morning to be fishing. I look forward to seeing yourself and the little one out catching soon. Tight lines.

Nice flattie mate as for the swimmers there a pain I had the same problem before but they got told to go in more ways than one
Cheers for watching Paul. It's all about mutual respect. Unfortunately, the majority seem to think we are problem.

Plaice has still evaded me so far, maybe a session at the hut on the cards 🤔

Hi David. It's something we beach anglers have to live with. I do love dogs, just not when their owners let em pee on me 🤣🤣
Fished off the groin about a month ago with lug worm ended up with a lovely Colding
Great to hear my Chum. It's always a good shot. Good to hear they are still around. Well done 👏
