Just in case:
Fredegund was the queen and consort of king Chilperic of Neustria in the 6th century. A former servant, she murdered Chilperic's second wife Galswintha, starting a war that lasted decades with Galswintha's sister Brunhilda of Austrasia. At some point Chilperic was murdered (it's unclear by whom, I'm going with Brunhilda as the culprit). Fredegund eventually died of old age and Brunhilda was captured and gruesomely executed by Fredegund's son sometimes afterwards.
Fredegund's even one of the inspiration for Snow White's evil stepmother. Read about her. She's awesome.
