    In picture with Pa Vaughn and uncle Sam., Vaughn is my grand father and Uncle Sam is his brother. They live in Clay and are buried there.

    My Dad worked in the strip mines for over 45 years, and he would never work in an underground mine.

      In the copper mining area of Michigan, a mine manager was asked why are there so few timbers. His reply was: "timber costs money, workers don't".
