Nice set up you have and the information you gave is generally correct. But, just for giggles, when you have time, put a bare rim on your balancing machine and find the low spot on the rim by measuring runout. If there is one, line up the red dot with that, If not, the red dot is meaningless. Then mark the heavy spot on the rim with a piece of tape. Is it exactly at the valve? Install the tire with the yellow dot at the tape mark.

If yellow is the lightest why would you use the red dot for the heaviest spot on the wheel?. Valve stem. Use the yellow.
