This teaching that the laws given at Mount Sinai (Exodus 20) are only for the children of Israel and not the Christians and that the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 is for everyone is not a Biblical teaching. Neither of these covenants were promised for everyone. These covenants were only given to the children of Israel and the house of Judah. I've given the scripture's, look it up for yourself. Romans 11 teaches that the Gentile Christians have been grafted in to Israel, in other words the Gentile Christians are Israelites and therefore called to observe the laws given at Mount Sinai until they enter the New Covenant at which time the laws given at Mount Sinai will be put in their mind and written on their heart (in other words they are still called to observe God's laws). So even if you were to say I'm not in the old Covenant I'm in the New Covenant those laws that Mount Sinai would still apply to you but even more so because they would be written on your heart. You started this study with a preconceived idea that you are a holy person who is living a Godly lifestyle but after being shown by Leviticus 11 that you have been living in error you choose to change God's laws instead of your ways. If you are one of God's children then his laws are for you not " those Israelites."
