Hey Tom, Goede video! Ik schrijf zelf ook orkestmuziek in de computer dan welliswaar, jn Cubase of FL Studio. Ik kan helaas niks op notenbasis vooralsnog, maar ben dat van plan te gaan leren. Ik kan al piano spelen dus dat scheelt misschien. Wel toffe video, ik heb geabonneerd!

Thanks for your comment! I am aware that I am not following the rules of traditional species counterpoint. The intent of this video was to showcase the advantages of having multiple lines working together to create a texture that is more 'alive', let's say, compared to static chords with a melody. I composed those different lines by following what sounded good to my ears, instead of the rules. I do not mean to say that the rules of traditional species counterpoint are not valuable or that you shouldn't study them (on the contrary!), they just go beyond the extent of this video. I hope that shines a light on your concern :)

So basically nobody write counterpoints fast? It's hard process where you have to take plenty of tries right?
