Honestly, I don't know what the conclusion is from what you discussed?

I have a 3 pumps working for past 22 years in a gas plant. I have the data like number of failures occurred per month in these 22 years . Now I have also plotted in Minitab the Distribution Overview plot. But unable to understand what it says. Like how many more years will it run and stuff. Does it require replacement? If so when? Could you please help.

There are a number of ways you can do that. Based on your data, you can fit a model and extrapolate it for future failure. Another way would be using the Minitab and purely calculate the number of failures based on the data provided. I would suggest seeing what kind of distribution does the data support (the available data) and then work it out based on the chosen distribution. You can try the reliability functions and survival functions in the Minitab options. Thanks.

@@abirhossain3437 thanks for responding. I am a newbie in this area. Can u suggest some online training courses that can help me gain knowledge in Reliability analysis and simulations.(Monte carlo/ weibull)

@@rajprabhakarselvaraj4707 you can find a whole lot of videos on youtube regarding the Monte Carlo method. I would suggest you begin with a statistical book. Any statistical book will contain the subject matters you are interested in. Thanks.

excuse me sir, can you explain me why you not using correlation coefficient in this method?
