This was beautiful. Love the night sounds in the background that I don’t get in the city.

"It's okay to be powerful through intuition" is what I remind myself when I get caught up in the material movements of my craft

EXCELENT Raecine! I agree. I have always felt it is about feeling. Without the connection to the feelings you are just going through motions.

I feel this vibrant aliveness when I’m in nature too, you express yourself so eloquently ands it resonates deeply. You are such an inspiration Raecine, thank you. I don’t really walk a path of witchcraft and yet I recognize everything you are talking about. It’s that aliveness, that vibrancy, that sensing of otherworldly realms that I can see, feel, hear and smell on a very primal level that makes me grateful that I’m alive even in the midst of pain and sadness. I love to return to something basic as my breath, to tune into silence and feel connected to this powerful stream of consciousness that is present always.
I was late to the party but I’ll watch this from the beginning…

I always felt like I couldn't call myself a witch because I don't do "witchy" things besides Tarot. But even that sometimes feels forced. I do however love connecting with nature. Feeling it's aliveness and connectedness. Knowing that I am it and it is me. That's what makes me a witch. What makes me spiritual. Feeling it all, breathing it in.

Honor those that have come before and have left the traces on the path for us to follow and discover and add to. I have thought that we don't walk on the earth, but rather with it, to learn from it as they decide to teach us. Love this video, thank you!

This video for me is an unofficial sequel to your review of the Weaver’s Oracle. I always wondered how you unified your shamanic and occult background and it all makes so much more sense to me now. Thank you for your wisdom, love. I will remember this beautiful video on my first misty morning fall walks in the forest this year.

Thank you for speaking to this subject. I agree being a witch is about connecting to the elements to the sacred land and building a connection with the old gods not about constantly wanting something.

❤️ So beautifully expressed Raecine. This is in absolute alignment with my experience and so affirming to hear from someone who has walked this path longer than I. Each person’s path is their own, but with all of the information out there today, it is so easy to be confused and concerned if one is ‘doing it right’ when one starts this journey. Thank you for your insights 🙏

I felt such a deep sense of resonance throughout this video. What a beautiful and refreshing take on an overly commodified practice. Sometimes the “stuff” really gets in the way of and distracts from what it really means to be one with the elemental forces.

You know what is difficult for me.
I was thought to live with the land in my early childhood years. By my grandparents. Mainly my grandmother, she spend the most time with the children. My grandfather still grows his own food. For me that could be part of the practice as well. My grandmother was in to the homeopathic Healthcare. I believe that is part of herbalism as well. My intrest in herbalism is most certainly part of my practice.
The weird flip side is ..... they are/where heavily religious. And everything witchcraft is from the devil itself..... it's really .... mindfucking.
The practice is despised, but they practice it themselves....🤷🏼‍♀️
I wish I could talk to my grandmother now she has passed over. Cause this is a topic that never could have taken place in human life.
Next to that, i do think social media has its contribution in making this lifestyle look more like a show for the pictures and the video's and the consumerism. Most people live in the noisy cities where it is a lot harder to put your antennes out to actually hear and feel, for example a baby bird in a nest up high. For that I do think as humans we lost our connection, and the abilities. I do believe this lifestyle is not for everyone. Even if the youngsters might think they are or it's cool to show of or whatever. Just like not every aspect of the practice is for you if you are practicing.

I don’t think of myself as a witch but I do understand what you are describing and it’s beautiful. To me this connection to the nature and land around me also makes me feel childlike at times and ancient at other times. I feel if I did identify as a witch I would be a singing witch. That is how I connect to God and also wind and nature and spirits in general. That’s how I talk to the world around me I feel..at my soul level.
I loved this video, thank you 🥰🌸

Hi Raecine - I’m not sure if you check TH-cam comments this far after a video has been posted, but if you do I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether or not there is a difference for you between being a Priestess and being a Witch? (& if anyone else has thoughts, I’d love to hear from you as well. 🥰)
The reason I’m asking is, as a highly sensitive, autistic individual who struggles with the spectrum of extremes and the subsequent overstimulation that I experience when I'm in nature, I don’t feel I’ve ever had the same connection to the land as the one you describe - and I’m wondering if that might be contributing to my inability to connect with the word Witch in the same way as I do the word Priestess?
Additionally, I do feel like I have a similar ability to connect to people in the way you describe connecting with elemental and liminal spirits - I’ve often been someone complete strangers will come to and share things they later tell me they’ve never told anyone else, and it reminds me of that “energetic antennae” you describe, like something about my energy tells them I am safe and will listen & hold space for what they want to share.
I also have the ability to see the potential in people that sometimes they don’t see in themselves, and have had varying degrees of success in holding space for people to grow into that potential or to reject it (and me) outright. Even the way I feel called to read tarot comes from more of a personal exploration and development space than it does a divinatory or magical workings one.
I wonder if these kinds of distinctions - where the relationships I’m being presented with are more on the Earthly plane of existence - are ones that would be more in alignment with your definition of Priestess than with your definition of Witch? And if so, what you might suggest for someone who feels called to move forward down one path, but not the other.
I seem to remember you’ve made a video on what being a Priestess means to you in the past, so I’ll go back and watch that one again to see if maybe I can formulate my own way forward, but if you feel so inclined to speak more to the topic, I’d love to hear whatever you feel called to share. ❤🙏
Thank you, as always, for gifting us with such thought-provoking & inspirational content!
