    No Aperturemarkings since it's a variable Aperture.. so for e.g. setting it to f2,8 at 55mm wouldn't make sense... same with the 55-200mm lense. Still love this lense, have a great one, Lee.

    That’s some gorgeous photos, might have to take the 18-55 for a spin next weekend. Could I request a video? A used camera battle between the Xpro-2 and X-T3, both are around the same price used. But have a noteworthy difference in philosophy behind their product development. Would be interesting to see how they perform with the latest software. The biggest weakness of the XPro 2 would probably be record limit and AF performance.

    Bought the Fuji XT4 with this kit lens back in May and it has been a workhorse. I decided to also buy the 23MM f/4 but eventually returned it because the difference between this lens when open and the 23mm is marginal at best.
    This lens could be a little faster with sharper auto focus at times, but overall, I’ll give it four out of five stars.

    • @LeeZavitz
      @LeeZavitz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the price you can’t go wrong. And you can get them relatively cheap used sometimes because people might get one with their camera and later upgrade to the 16-55mm f2.8

    • @Tyrell_Corp2019
      @Tyrell_Corp2019 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LeeZavitz True. But I’m not so sure the 16-55MM is an “upgrade“. There are lots of comparisons between the two, some favoring one over the other. Each has its strong and weak points. I.G. No stabilization on the 55. But it performs better on video when it comes to focusing. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    The 18-55mm is my only lens for my X-T3. My only wish is that Fuji would weather seal it to keep the dust out. Optically the 16-55mm is a better lens but honestly for the size and weight advantage, the kit lens is a better lens. It is smaller and lighter and the image quality is awesome. It's better because of its size, I take the camera everywhere. You can't take pictures if you leave your camera home.

    Good evening, I have a question I use xpro2 with pancake lenses because I like to use the optical viewfinder. I have only one zoom lens and it is the 16-80 f4 which I like very much, except for the fact that being bulky it covers all my view in the viewfinder (and I have to necessarily switch to evf). Since I love the xpro because of the optical viewfinder I was considering switching to the 18-55 2.2.8-4. have you tried it, can you use it without switching to evf ?

    Just used an xpro2 and 18-55 for a fall vacation this weekend. Still holds up, for sure.

    Actually, I‘m in the fence for this lens. Used to shoot primes, but getting more and more annoyed by carrying too much stuff. Amazing shots - and that shutter sound!

    Wonderful photos Lee , would you mind share with us your in camera settings ? Classic Neg ? .. I'm thinking to get X100V Thanks

      This one would be Classic Chrome, being an X-Pro2. I can say that the X100V is amazing, and Classic Neg is pretty great. If you're shooting portrait stuff make sure to over-expose it very slightly for skin tones and maybe dial the colour back a little, as Classic Neg is the first simulation to actively change depending on exposure. If you underexpose it you get a grungier, rustier look. If you correctly expose or a ltitle over it works better for urban portraits. Be aware that if you use the clarity setting on the X100V you can't burst fire, but you can get a really nice punch for your images dialing that in. Have fun with it if you get it, Moment have a nice video review of it too. And I agree, Lee's photos are fire!
