      It doesn't matter what scientists or anyone else for that matter want to "find out". These things are beyond our civilization, have been around for a long time, and are obviously way ahead of us technologically. Therefore they hold all the cards on whether or not they reveal themselves any further to us, or continue to do whatever it is they do without ever letting us in on their secret

I don't think she was claiming anything more than there are flying things that have been unidentified. I significantly doubt this is aliens or anything supernatural but let us use your unidentified sound analogy. When I had an unidentified sound in my house I never thought it was ghost but I did think the noise required investigation. As a result of said investigation I found a squirel had gotten into my basement and thereby made the investigation worth while.

I literally looked away several times because I thought , initially , I was seeing things. However, it just remained in the sky moving away quietly until it was out of sight. To this day , my family thinks I was seeing things that were not their. • @ImHeadshotSniper
      @ImHeadshotSniper 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      of course we should investigate anything we're curious about. the only issue i have about this "UFO" idea is that people immediately contribute something that the military doesn't know exactly what it is as "extraterrestrial beings"... of course we shouldn't rule it out, but to even think for a second that ANYTHING you may see is aliens is an INCREDIBLE stretch. there are many potential LOGICAL explanations (not involving Aliens -- See "Lemmino"'s video on the "Extraordinary until proven otherwise") that people throw out BEFORE ALIENS because there isn't enough information about those OTHER theories to totally confirm them. (PRIMARILY BECAUSE THE FOOTAGE TAKEN IS ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL, SIMILAR TO BIGFOOT FOOTAGE.)
      all i'm saying is that throughout history, there have been many accounts of unexplainable things that happened, but it's interesting how in the age of capturable video and audio, that the ONLY "evidence" for such an idea is evidence similar to bigfoot. it is CERTAINLY an "object" (which doesn't actually leave out the possibility of a lens flare on the automatically rotating/moving camera that all footage was taken from)

      Its ALOT like the cave allegory. If non-human intelligence is here, it literally means humans are completely ignorant of the most important thing we should know about.

    I agree with commenters that state they subscribed after seeing your previous video, I was one of them. I, along with a group of friends, experienced something many years ago. We had spent the evening together in a social capacity. One of the group had been discussing his latest venture - he owns some land and had dug a large lake for carp fishing. We all decided we would go along to see his efforts. By the time we arrived it was late and, being in the countryside, there was very little light pollution. It was a warm evening and we hung out by the lake. The group splintered slightly but all stayed within earshot. We all then experienced the same thing. A very focused light from the sky from an unknown source. There was zero sound from the source. The light moved across the lake and illuminated us as well. It seemed to be checking with interest. If I said it was "searching" that would suggest a more deliberate and frantic motion. This light was more subdued in its movements. Imagine if you looked with interest at something small you would slowly investigate it. This light had that kind of motion. It then disappeared without a sound. We were all stunned into silence, which was only broken by a joking comment along the lines of "well, that was weird". We've seldom talked about it but none of us had a rational explanation.

      Nah, telling your opinion expose you to people calling out BS, and expose how bad your thinking is.
      Ockham's razor is still very good.
      In france we have GEIPAN, which is an organisation that inspect UFO sighting.
      Every claim has been throughly debunked.
      Turns out people are very very bad at identifying things in the sky.
      Heck, people call the police when there is a city wide electricty outage, because they can see stars in the sky and they don't know what it is.
      Sometimes, it's reflection in the window, though which they took a photo a the sky.
      The problem with Fran is not the idea she is throwing, it's her method.
      Before talking about multiple dimension, or very fast moving (impossible to reproduce by human technology) entities, you weed out all the obvious explanations (that's what ockham razor do). Which she didn't do at all. And it shows, she is biased with it.
      That's why lot of people redirected her to thunderfoot. Because it's what he did, and came to very plausible conclusions.
      He even demonstrated that one of the object, was not moving at multiple mach speed, but a few km/h.

      Ugh, still a terrible quote. The idea that we ever thought the earth was flat is a myth started by Victorian textbooks. Flat earth has pretty much always been a fringe theory. The oldest Globe dates to the 15th Century prior to Columbus and is round. Renaissance maps depicted the Earth as round. Navigating by sun or stars both required an understanding of latitude. The use of sundials from antiquity to the modern era also requires an understanding of latitude to make them function. In the middle ages, the globus cruciger, a sphere with a cross on top was used to represent Christ's dominion over the orb of the world. Atlas is depicted as holding a sphere representing the earth throughout Roman times. Pythagoras not only mathematically proved the earth was round but correctly calculated its circumference around 500 BC. Even in pre-history, ancient structures with astronomical significance such as Stonehenge or Newgrange belie an understanding of astronomy and latitude that would have required the knowledge of a round earth.

    • @peterpike
      @peterpike 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Other than the fact that hardly anyone believed the Earth was flat, even as far back as 1500 BC. The Greeks calculated the size of the Earth pretty closely based on it being a sphere. The myth that Columbus was trying to prove the world was round was actually an invention of Washington Irvine's book "A History of the Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus" in 1828. During Columbus's time, everyone believed the Earth was round. The only real debate was on how large the Earth was. Columbus thought the world was much smaller than it actually was, which is why he thought he had reached Asia when there was an entire continent and the world's largest ocean still between him and Asia.

It’s the equivalent of living on earth and not being able to see or have an understanding of what water is. The notion that everything has a simple explanation it’s just simply false. We're also encountering quantum mechanics which fully permeates, on a fundamental level, the classical realm, and which is apparently *adeterministic* (as far as we can tell.) We don't know why quantum phenomena consistently want to decohere into observing classical patterns, and we don't know why the classical space isn't more permeated by quantum phenomena than it is, but regardless of these it seems that it should be much harder to be a positivist or a hard determinist today than in the past few centuries when we could, say, convince ourselves that the cosmos was like a great clockwork construction of definite form or dimension or whatever. People will still want really definite answers or have their common sense rebel at the notion that things like spatial orientation/definite location and causality might reach an end to their relevance or necessity in understanding the world, but that's a problem of our expectations or capacities for authenticity in encountering what the world is apparently presenting us with. The desire or pursuit of knowledge shouldn't balk at being presented with something it doesn't immediately recognize or know how to make sense of in a way that's comfortable sitting alongside our other assumptions or preferences.

It was in early Dec, my shop was unheated, so I decided to go into the house and grab a cup of hot coffee. I was walking the short distance, something caused me to look up to see a classic 'Flying Saucer' fly right over my head and my house. I was cold, in a hurry, so never paid a lot of attention. It wasn't until the next day, as I was telling coworkers about it, I suddenly realized, that craft never made a whisper. My house sat on a hill with a valley opening up in the direction it was headed and if I'd just walked a few more feet, I could have observed it for several miles.
