The reason Kazuma is doing so great right now is cause he can let go and use all of his abilities combo them. The fact that he has a skill that normally belongs to an elder lych means he cant really make use of it on most occasions without people asking questions. Or he uses it on his teammates who have BS amounts of mana or resistance. Neither the mask nor the moonlight do anything, its just kazuma having fun and using all the combos he can think of.

Rain is a Mage, so the anime buffed her by giving her access to healing, which that class doesn’t get (she ‘healed’ Mitsurugi by melting the ice with her magic and couldn’t heal Claire/Claire didn’t fight.) 9:14 - This entire fight disappointed the community, since the LN makes it clear that it’s all Kazuma with the mask just giving him clearer thinking and apparently an important staff member downplays Kazuma so he never gets his full cool moments from the LN, for comedy (he solos the knight force by spamming Drain Touch, Create Earth and Windbreath to blind, Bind, and Steal, to non-lethally defeat everyone with no damage skills, besides Drain Touch and causes them to panic because they think he’s more powerful than a Crimson Demon, as no one should be able to use such high mana costing spells like Bind and spam it, he doesn’t have Manatite, and they can’t see Drain Touch, so it just looks like he is just one-shotting people by being near, Kazuma defeats Mitsurugi by grabbing his face and shoving Create Water down his throat and instantly uses Freeze, preventing him from breathing and naturally choking, lowering their morale and forcing them to get help so Mitsurugi doesn’t die and he was taken out during this scene, Chris and Kazuma used this skill called Escape, which prevented the knights from capturing them/catching up to them as it boosted their evasion rate, Kazuma used Snipe to break Rain’s staff, causing her to cry, and prevented her from casting deadly magic to kill them, and the stakes were higher as Claire told Rain and everyone else to kill them and would let Aqua use Resurrection.) Darkness used the lighter and burned the dirty magazine, which made Kazuma dejected and the scene where the castle finds out, is due to Aqua and Megumin, who sealed the Divine Treasure ahead of time and confirmed it was to protect Iris, respectively (Claire insults Kazuma again, but starts crushing on the masked thief, saying that she was disappointed that he became a thief, would’ve taken him in if he wasn’t a criminal, and hopes to meet him again.) Iris says that she fell for the handsome thief, pranked Kazuma to get a reaction out of him as she found out when he stole her ring, and when Kazuma declares to beat the Demon King, Claire sneers at him (Iris also mentions her unique skill here in this anime only scene, Exterion, which is a glowing slash that can cut things into two and she can vary it’s power.) (he’s also similar to D from Ranger Reject and has Tokusatsu references, too) which is futuristic technology vs isekai and the MC is based on Zach from FF7 Crisis Core and the protagonists are villains who already conquered Earth.

Saying it was the silver hair thief was to cool off Kazuma before he spilled his guts & got himself executed.

Megumin can't defeat Iris with Explosion magic. Iris have very overpowered stats, she's something like terminator. Her "sacred explosion" does the same damage as Megumin's Explosion, she is tough as Darkness, don`t miss as Darkness and she can heal as Aqua. Imbalanced character.

Iris x Kazuma is definately weird by modern standards, and I’d definately judge someone in Kazuma’s position IRL. If we take a step back in history though, their age difference is practically small, in comparison to many other royal betrothals. In universe, Kazuma may actually have be forced to marry Iris after defeating the demon king, lmao.
