Was invited to very small gathering, in his studio, this past weekend, and bought this CD. Him and his artist wife, are wonderful people, super creative, and very down to earth. His great music caused my eyes to leak, more than a few times. Watching folks crawl under his piano, to be vibrated by the sound, was new to me. A fantastic time! We loved every second of that experience. Thank You both!
I found your music when I was in an acupuncture session with my favourite therapist. She is great and so are you. I look forward to hearing your music every time and I have put it on my favourites. Thank you!
I haven't found another artist who can match the complexity and beauty of your work. Songs like this, Swirling Leaves, the album Secrets of the Sea, and so many other songs I could list if given time are on another level from everything else I've heard.
I played this piece for a judge at the 2019 NTMTA Fall Festival on October 26, 2019 and the judge was amazed. I think she had like a PHD in music. When I played “Sailing Across the Celestial Sea” at my piano teacher’s spring recital last year like 20 people stopped me on the way out of the auditorium and complemented me. You are unbelievable. My mom even burst into tears during a performance of your arrangement of “Carol of the Bells”. I have only been playing piano for about 6 years and I hope to see you perform someday. Thanks, William Sutcliffe
Hi William. Thanks so much for writing, I am glad your performance went well and everyone enjoyed the music. What area are you in, I don't perform/travel very much but you never know!
I'd love to meet you Mr. Maroney. It's one of my dreams to meet a great pianist like yourself. But you in particular. I've been playing piano for 13 years going on 14. I can't read music but I can listen to it and watch how people play the piece and learn it within a week or two depending how long the song is. Two of your songs I can't stop listening to because they are so mesmerizing. Dark and Breathe. And I've been working on breathe for a week now. It's my main project right now. And I've been learning music by memory and ear for 13 years as well. But you Sir, are my favorite. To me, the piano is a universal language and everybody can understand it, if they choose to. And my main priority is that I try my best to show my music to others. I've already made up 2 pieces atm. I'm now working on my third piece. And all 3 have something to do with parts of my life. That's how I compose my pieces. By feelings. But when I play my feelings I feel more happier. And now I just have to wait till I get the chance to have my music recorded. And I hope, as of right now on Nov. 30, I hope your having a great day Mr. Maroney.
Hello-you have the right attitude toward the piano, it will give you a lifetime of pleasure and it talks in a universal language of the heart that everyone can understand. It always helps to learn music theory, but if you have the inner emotion and feeling, it is yours to express. Keep playing! I will be in California next month for a concert, I am not sure where you live?
This music is beautiful, ageless and timeless! This is my first visit here and I think you are a brilliant composer and pianist! This music is full of love, light and hope....a beautiful journey indeed! Thank you. ~Jackie
Hi- I am going to transcribe the next CD "Hope Resides", and then try to get to some of the older material. I do have it on my list of songs to get done, it will just take a while. Thanks for asking.
+Gurkan CIFTCI It is usually a mixture of emotion, technique, chord structure and how I am feeling at the time. Emotions are complicated things, I usually am not just feeling one sort of emotion when composing, rather a host of feelings go into a particular song. Composing is a complicated yet simple process, one that takes work and dedication.
Corbin is going to play this at Church the next two weeks! Can't wait until he gets to meet you later this year!! I requested that he play this song, and he really enjoys playing it.
Greg, maybe you should do a piano cover (your arrangement) of Katy Perry’s new song called “Never Worn White” about her desire to get married. It made me tear up. It would really be awesome if you did a piano cover of that song and post it on TH-cam. From probably your biggest fan, William Sutcliffe

You are most welcome, glad you enjoyed the concert.
The best piano music of all the world and all ages, Greg!
This may be my favourite piano piece of all time.
Thanks!

Tennessee Mr. Maroney, if you happen to be live in Nashville sometime, I would definitely come to your concert.

Hi Jackie, thanks so much for your kind words, you really seem to "get" the music. I am honored!
I LOVE your music and you're an awesome pianist!
I love it Greg. Great job!!!! I found your pieces on Serius radio.
Thanks!
Can't stop listening to this! Love it.
As always Greg..beautiful stuff...and to think you used to drive a ambulance around !!!
Kind of a little more than that; as an EMT, then an RN in trauma care; his teams saved countless lives over many many years. :)

I bought your album on itunes to help with my anger, it calms me down..THANKS!
I’m going to play this as the audience enters the arena at my moms theater production this weekend!
They loved it!
Wow! Thats amazing!
Man what a beautiful melody ! Love that song. I must write something on this +Greg Maroney
+Gurkan CIFTCI Thanks, glad you like the piece.
How did you compose this melody? With which feelings?

+Greg Maroney I love piano by the way. And this is the best song I've ever heard from piano. I wish I had a piano and I could play... You master.
+Gurkan CIFTCI Thanks!

Great, I hope the performance goes well, let me know. I look forward to meeting Corbin later this year as well.
Its really a journey
Glad it takes you on a trip...
This song is in Bb Minor

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into it.
I'd love to play your stuff but I think it’s beyond my mediocre ability, I’ll listen & play at my lesser skill
Hey Glenn. Yes, some of the music is advanced, some of it is easier. We do have some simplified versions available if you are interested.
This sounds like debussy at the beggining. It's beautiful
Thank you!
it kinda sounds like debussy Clair de lune? but it's nice too :)
