I honestly kind of love games with jerky movement and scrolling. Its a kind of jank i find delicious. I have no idea why i am this way, maybe its because i grew up playing a lot of dos platformers.
Fun fact: this actually has a fan translation (from back in the days when we were hungry for anything) but they must not have known about the cheat code because the notes say they couldn't get past stage 6 to check to see if anything was wrong past that point :D
Chester Field was advertised in the last issue of Nintendo Fun Club News and mentioned in the first few issues of Nintendo Power, suggesting a U.S. release was planned but never materialized.
It's like they made the medieval font juuuuust different enough from the cigarette branding (plus that space in the middle) to plausibly deny copyright infringement lol

4:00 - This brings a whole new meaning to 'Brick and Mortar Shop'
They have terrible foot traffic at that location, though.

It did came out in the U.S. though...
...on the Commodore 64 (as did Aigina's Prophecy).
3:01 - That gal's talking animation is a SINGLE FLASHING PIXEL.
They might not make good games most of the time, but Vic Tokai is weird and has great presentation. I like them...
This is still the best game named after a cigarette brand.

I guess you could say one Romancia is worth an entire pack of Chester Fields.
seemed like it might be a fun action/platformer, but sounds like there's too much wrong with it. :(
