I stopped riding a few years ago but seeing your vids me Kaplan has changed my life man. Seeing your passion for all bikes not just Harley like alot if people, seeing that passion has restarted mine. I kicked my depression, getting back on a bike and got my passion back. Thank you man seriously its literally saved me. Keep up the great work it does more good than just promoting bike sales
I also have a 2005 Suzuki C50T Boulevard. Bought it used as a starter bike, but 6 years later I still have it and love it. Had 7,000 miles when I bought it and now almost 20,000 miles. Just keep the fluids changed and it runs forever. Good video. Ride safe.
Hey, I’ve seen some of your videos on that bike! How was the weight for a beginner bike? That’s the only thing really concerning me. I have some very basic skills from riding dirt bikes for a few months but I’m looking at either a C50, M50, or Honda Shadow 750 as a good place to start riding on the street since I’ll have a 40 mile commute to do.
@@opticalecho119 it’s really not that heavy and it handles very easily. I started on a Honda Rebel 250 and outgrew that small bike within just a few months. I think the Suzuki C50T or Honda Shadow 750 are great choices for starter bikes that you can continue to ride for years as I have with the C50T Boulevard. Another good choice is the Kawasaki Vulcan S 650. It’s even lighter than the Boulevard or Shadow and a great first bike. I rode one recently and posted a review video on my channel. Check it out as this is a very sporty and good handling motorcycle. The good thing is it comes with an ABS brake option. The newer Honda Shadow models do too, but Suzuki still doesn’t offer ABS brakes on their models. Hope this helps. Have fun and ride safe.
@@MAlKayyali it is easy to ride without ABS. You just have to know how to use both brakes properly in an emergency stopping situation. Just takes practice. ABS is something that’s added safety factor for modern motorcycles and Suzuki should add it. But the C50 is a great bike and if you want it, you should get it. For the price, you can’t beat it. Thanks for watching!
I have a 2005 C50. It’s a fantastic bike. It’s physically larger than my buddy’s Fatboy. While its roomy with a passenger, gets up and goes, and the fuel injection is fantastic; the limitations of a sub 1000cc becomes apparent when I’m riding with Victory cruisers, Dyna and larger HD, or any other bagger with the big twin. If they burp their throttle, they’d effortlessly get away from me
Since 2001 till 2004 it has been named Intruder Volusia, had a 17l gas tank and utilized a carburetor. Since 2005 it's been an FI-operated Intruder VL800 a/o C800 (in the EU) and Boulevard C50 (in the US) - e.g. my K9 model (means, a 2009 build) had "C800" on its side panels, "Intruder" on the 15,5l gas tank and "VL800/C/T Owner's Manual" inscriptions - and I can cofirm the same is valid for 2013 models. The engine is a 45deg water-cooled SOHC V-Twin sized at 805ccm, producing 69 Nm at 3,5k RPM and 52,0 (carbureted) / 52,5 (FI) hp at 6k RPM. Throughout its whole lifecycle, it bears 130/90-R16 M/C 67H (front) & 170/80-R15 M/C 77H (rear) tires, mounted on a 1655mm wheelbase. Dry weight is around 240kg, curb one around 275kg (both +/- 3kg). Zero maintenance.. Ehm, follow the instructions in the manual and do a service check every 6k km (*). Also, if buying a brand new one, check if the front part of the drive-shaft is lubricated. Best cruiser ever, IMHO 🙂 (*) From the top of my head - oil should be changed every 6k km, spark plugs and coolant liquid every 12k km, driveshaft oil, oil / air filters every 18k km and (from experience) brake fluid every 50k km.

Is it easy to drive without ABS? I’m really in love with C50 and only the ABS hold me to but it!

My 2008 C-50 is bulletproof. I bought it new and only have 20,000 kms (15,000 mi) but it's never let me down. Fires up first time every time.

great video! we here at VikingBags really appreciate your work!
That bike is beautiful.
Wind screen and saddle bags off with the single seat looks better in my opinion
Beautiful .. How do I get the headlights that I put in front of the bike 🙏
I would buy that without hesitation...but I bought one today and it is similar...nice bike !!!
I have a 2008, purchased new. I love it.
One does wonder what kind of bike, if any, the previous owner chose to replace that bike with.
That giant bike is only 800?
Nice
Beautiful bike 👍
Hi, the bike has the original exhaust or another
That’s the original
That bike sounds good where u ride at

Do you still have this bike, how much do you want?
What's the asking price 4:49
New they were $ 7,500. Used easily get them $2k to 4k.
Why my motorcycle doesn't want to start up
Sounds like a double pin crank V Twin. Probably more smoother.
