I was totally addicted to playing Gwent in Witcher 3. I picked this game up yesterday but Gwent in there seems totally different and I'm a little confused still. But this video is really helpful. Thank you!
Gwent in Witcher 3 is different because they kinda re-designed some of the rules for multiplayer when they made the standalone version and Thronebreaker. You will soon realize this version is much more fun.
I bought the game a year ago, played for an hour and hated it... But two days ago a decided to give it a second chance and now Im hooked!!! I recommend giving it another chance, but removing the Gwent expectations
Honestly: I started Thronebreaker 3 days ago. I played Gwent in Witcher 3 - and loved it. In Thronebreaker I simply do not understand the game they present as "Gwent". I searched the whole net for tutorial videos. But there is nothing out there that starts really at the beginning. I simply do not even understand the tips You are giving here. I do not understand them, because I do not understand the values on the cards, the terms "order", etc. anything. Yes I tried reading the texts on the cards. But they could have written them in chinese letters - I would not get less info out of them. Your tips are probably helpful for someone who has played a round of Thronebreaker and understands in principle how everything works - but had a not very successfull first round and now wants to improve that. It does not help a greenhorn like me. I feel like a accidently on my very first day in school got between elder students learning latin.

How does this game compare to the standalone Gwent game? Same type of battle system? Want to know if it's worth unlocking the paid version. Thanks! Also love the standalone Gwent game, that said, will I love this game as much as Gwent?
I just got the game, better late than never, I don´t get the Gwent at all though, simply don´t understand it. The tutorial telling me to play archers in the front row, my cards don´t seem to attack and it´s nothing like Witcher 3.
i went from witcher 3 gwen tothis as well and i understood it fine. yes it's different but it many ways is better. just take the time with the tutorials and understand the damn game.
Really struggling to play this game. I'm not sure it's worth the effort to understand it. Maybe I need a walkthrough. I guess I prefer MtG, much easier to understand.
I used to play Hearthstone, and I found this game very confusing! In Hearthstone you just destroy the enemy's card and attack your opponent directly at the right time. But this game you can't seem to attack beside summoning, very confusing and counterintuitive
Question,do I have to connect the same account in both steam and Gwent to get the premium cards and borders or are they automatically being added to the Gwent account I now have and play with??Any answers would be very much appreciated

@@Aleeeks101 I'm not sure you can on the Switch. On PC you're asked to do it when you first launch the game I think.
I can't believe I never saw this game before, it's right up my alley. I've been looking for a good card game on switch and this is the winner.

I went through on the hardest level first. Now I'm going through on easy to enjoy the story again. I was ruthless for the most part.
Be prepared to be halted by a half foot high stone wall, from loot.

This new Gwent is just plain annoying and irritating to me. It's needlessly more complicated.
