I absolutely loved hearing all of Mel’s career history ! I live on the total opposite side of the spectrum; always reaching for achievement and seeking career opportunities without direction and internship like options.. Then usually falling short. I make it look easy tho so I’ve been told lol. It’s such a blessing to have your opportunities come to you in a divine way! I truly love that for you and I can foresee that there’s so much more to come for Mel. I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I let him go ahead and do them and when he finished i went outside and they where two different colors...i had them come outside to look....like i said. Went right back and they found the color that was a little closer ❤ thanks for letting me know its ok to have anything done correctly and not feel bad. ❤ love yall

I just wanted to answer your hair question from early in the show! Love y’all and The Pod, so sorry for the essay lol
I’m a hairstylist. The terminology can change based off of when and where you went to hair school. Essentially a Process is a general name for using chemicals in hair color, perm, relaxer ect. What you get from what I’ve seen on instagram and just what i see visually is highlights, lowlights sometimes and a toner.
Highlights uses lightener/ bleach or a bleach derivative. They make the hair lighter in color
Lowlights uses Demi or Semi permanent color (stylist choice) and always adds depth/ dimension to the hair.
A Toner is over all color. It is typically demi or semi permanent hair color. It is used to make the highlights the desired tone. Essentially all highlights come out the same color yellow, orange, pale yellow ect. A toner is what can make hair icy blonde or a copper blonde. It’s all in the toner!
A Toner and a Single Process/all over color are different bc of application and strength. So technically doing hair color from root to tip or a toner have small differences. A single process is just that put the color on either the roots to cover the grey or root to tip to change hair color. These processes never lighten the hair (that has a different name)! This name typically denotes the use of permanent hair color
A toner is usually applied after a lightning process took place either in that apply or in previous appointments. It’s also typically applied at the shampoo bowl and on wet hair but that’s stylists preference or per the manufacturer’s instructions.
Hope that answers the question and takes away some research time for you ❤

Speaking on the elevator is something I do at vacation spots. Like, I can tell everyone is there for a nice weekend and we might see each other around the way a few times. In those situations, people tend to talk more anyways.
If I'm in an office building, apartments, mall, airport.... no one should speak. We got places to be.

Carlees mom said she was fighting for her life I’m curious what she felt she was fighting for. There might be some trauma either relationally that’s mentally draining her and she has no idea how to escape. I remember when I was in an abusive relationship friends draining and no steady home life, I was pregnant and one day tuned my phone on airplane mode and hoped on a bus to Boston just to detox my mind. came back didn’t realize why I did that or didn’t realize I was in an abusive situation but I was crying for help without knowing...pray for carlee her story might have layers even she’s unaware of

I speak sometimes when entering an elevator, and I would generally say have a good day. If I’m on the work elevator, and I am exiting.
