Only things I’m gonna say about DBZ, Yamaha died in the Saiyan Saga along with Tien and Chiaotzu, he did not die in the Cell Saga. Also Future Trunks did not come back to fight Vegeta, he came back to warn Goku about the Androids. When Trunks saw that Goku was not back yet and Frieza was on Earth, he fought and kill Frieza and King Cold, not knowing Goku had Instant Transmission.
My favorite anime villain group is either Espada(I love that they hate eachother its so great) or the Warlords(not that much of a group but I find the concept and characters that fill its roster as perfect for one piece)
I would've loved to see the Cyberpunks on here. Though short their run, they tore at the heart strings without the need for an incredibly drawn out backstory. It was as if a Jackson Polic painting came alive and swept you off your feet. I know it's not a traditional anime, but it's an incredible story I'd love to see a short video about
This video for the most part rocks socks! I agree with a lot of what you have said and even agree with the honorable mention for the Gotei 13. I am however big disappointed that the Espada/Sternritter did not make this list. One of if not both of those groups def deserve a spot imo! Either way awesome content thank you :D
Deadass, when he said that the top 3 were the three most iconic groups in anime I thought it was gonna be the straw hats, Konoha 11 and either Karakura 4 or the Espada.
First of all, really love your content! One of the most interesting and informative anime channels I've ever seen. As for the groups (if it's one per title), I would add Espada or Wandenreich from Bleach and Stardust Crusaders or Passione from JJBA.
Passione would definitly be one of my top groups. Their dynamic is fun to watch and each character has their own backstory and reason they joined but they were all banded together and like saved by Bruno which is why theyre all so loyal and respectful to him.
Tecnically there are at least 6 members of Team rocket in the Pokemon anime. One of my favorite groups, is Le soldats from the anime Noir. There are actually only 2 main members of this group, but during the anime we see that they have a lot of underlings like the Akatsuki. It's a shame that Noir doesn't really have a big fan base.
I really appreciate how the FF14 team has managed to incorporate old ideas in new ways to make it feel like the whole experience feel cohesive. Because the reality is that it's unlikely that they had planned much of this a decade ago. But rather, future writers managed to take the foundation laid before them, and build upon it. It always feels more satisfying when something is constructed like this, rather than repeatedly retconned in order to force ideas into place.
I called it. I knew the Akatsuki & Phantom Troupe would make top 2 🤣. Anyway, I loved the Akatsuki because the characters were written with so much depth & you fell in love with every single one of them. Some members were morally grey with good intentions while others were blatantly evil & selfish, yet each member was so impactful with emotional histories.
nah , the akatuski has no depth at all , this is their main problem , they feel like caricatures more than characters , and no one of them was morally grey lol , they were all wicked , moral greyness is about actions not intentions
@@wwe12153there were definitely better written than phantom troupe in terms of depth . Phantom troupe as a group has no meaning to their existence at all
I doubt many people know this anime but I'd also include the Knights of Athena from Saint Seiya solely because I like that they all have their different motivations and sometimes even fight each other
saint seiya is iconic but idk if younger ppl even know it ever existed, it still has new stuff coming out but i think it just didnt stay in the collective conciousness after the og run
I really thought it was so awesome that the editor called you out about team rocket having more than four members LMAO. And you had no idea and kept going because you sent him your pre-recorded stuff to edit LMAO!
Interesting video (if a bit too focused on Shonen for my personal tastes). One interesting thing I’d like to see someone try for anime is what Cinefix did with their Top 10 Movie Teams list, picking the best teams with a certain number of members in ascending order, starting with 2 and finishing with entire armies (my personal favourite two member team in anime: Kei and Yuri in Dirty Pair)
Hit man reborn’s Vongola family is great. In fact I would argue they are the best fleshed out group in all of anime. Everybody grows properly within the confines of their universe.
Funeral Parlor from Guilty Crown. Back in the days I loved this anime. Not nessesairly best plot or execution ever, but its pretty good and has some amazing music (I'm a sucker for good music in anime) Household Vessel Users from Magi Labyrinth of Magic. Amazing story that was made dirty by anime being discontinued right before plot was made great. Anyone who liked literally anything about fights or power system in Magi should read manga, as it is solid. I would add those two to my list. Also, not yet an anime, but I literally can't think about this list without mentioning Solo Leveling ^. S Rank Hunters ^ You should read Solo Leveling Manhwa and make a video about it, even if only to introduce it to bigger audience.
Love that the black bulls got into your top 5! Black clover deserves more of the spotlight and sure the anime is on hold but the manga is insane now. Whenever it gets animated I'm sure it'll be one of the most hyped animes around!
Me typing “do a video on all the times vegeta beak goku” “Now let me move on before people start asking me to do dbz videos and idk enough about it”😂😂😂😂😂 nice save man
Nick. Sir. I recognize that you mostly talk about shonen, but... The Phantom Troupe? The most iconic group in all of anime? SIR. It is indisputably the Sailor Scouts.
If I allowed myself, I would 110% include the Seven Divas from Holo-Chronicles. Like... if you didn't watch Holo-Chronicles, _go watch Holo-Chronicles,_ Kugeki (the creator of this awesome Hololive fan series) is like a mini-Tite Kubo with how they handle worldbuilding and character power sets, it's awesome. The Seven Divas are honestly a culmination of everything that's great about Holo-Chronicles. A set of seven powerful and influential talents (individuals with powers, for all the most of you who don't know HC lingo) who work to defend people from monsters and all have their own abilities and backstories. Roboco (an ex-member, to be fair) is quite possibly the most important character to the current overarching story due to her records from the future, Sora is the Gojo equivalent who keeps everyone else from going too off-the-rails, Pekora and Miko (another ex-member) are both lowkey gremlins, Aloe is just _the coolest_ and her disappearance drives a major subplot in either finding or replacing her, and I could probably keep going on and on _and on_ about how great they all are. Also, I'm biased towards cool Hololive stuff, and this is some of the coolest Hololive stuff out there.
idk what it is but whenever i see you upload a video and its smth that i either watch or am intrested in i always click bc somehow your voice is so niceee (edit also team rocket is actually four since wobafett exists who in journeys and i think before that became an actual permanent member and you could maybe count pokemon like bewear n morpeko as members)
You can make the argument that the troop is not an antagonist or one the truest sense, their goal has never changed it is not world domination, or transforming the world or taking over anything the ambition is not so grandiose it is just to steal and make money and it is so well written you never really forget a member and it so interesting.
Yamcha was around for the Vegeta arc, the image of him being dead you showed is from the Saiyan arc... Same for Tien and Chiazou... Future Trunks came back in the Android/Cell saga and took out Frieza, Nick, bro, we love the content, but sometimes, accuracy is off
my number 1 would've been the cowboy bebop crew. tragic backstories of mismatched pieces that've come together to form a dysfunction group that can only count on themselves but can also rely on each other in a strange way. you'll carry that weight.
Great Video. Perfection 🦥My bias would be FairyTail, it was one of my first anime, it stole my heart. Tho can I really say that when I haven’t read a single chapter of 100 year quest, I’m lying to myself.
it was zora’s dad that was ridiculed & killed, not him. How he joined is yami whooped his ass after zora was in the allies of the clover kingdom fighting/ killing purple deer members & yami whooped him & threw him a robe after & told him 2 wear it whenever he’d like😂
I think the decades of cool down for the crows cool down is because of the lesser chakra of that crow if it were a human it could have been less maybe 5 or 10 years
You should have done this as 2 videos, hero groups and villain groups.
Yeah that's a missed opportunity
Yooo that would have been dope 👌🏾
Agreed

Yeah bad financial and bad entertainment decision
Phantom Troupe been my favotie group since forever and now knowing their backstory just make it 10 times better

knowing that they made power rangers dubs is the best part

@@da_curlz2599 was finna say, the dbz timeline is all fucked up 😭
Had me scratching my head too
No he had a lot of errors in the Z segment, like a lot lol
Sadly i know Fairy Tail will not make the list. I get it. But man they need more love.
Right it deserves some recognition
They should be in it Period.
They beat Zeref and his Crew GG
Show is dope definitely needs more love
Eh it was trash

Assassination Classroom is the anime that got me into anime….and I’m glad I started my anime journey
ooh i will have to check it out. So a year later whats become one of your favorites and what are you currently watching/ last watched?
Akame ga kill is such an emotional rollercoaster my lord

pretty sure that Picollo takes command a lot of the times because he is fused with Kami, and therefore has more wisdom about things in general.

You mean the Plot Armor guild? Ehhhh.. when there's only 10 slots I can understand them being left out :/

I would LOVE for an Akame Ga kill video, like I’d just watch it on repeat so you can get views from it 😂
The Spearhead Squadron from 86 would’ve been a DOPE entry on this list
True, I got attached to Night raid and cried in the end. To the extent of being afraid to revisit it.
I’ve never been this early. Thank you for posting so regularly! By far my favorite anime creator.
I think that the Straw Hat pirates might have a say in this conversation. Definitely need a part 2
YES! Can we pretty plz get a video about Zetsuen no Tempest??
