I think this shows a fundamental problem with our innovators, which inhibits us from doing something new with economic viability. Personally, using a water bottle I expect it to be handy. If I am rushing to work or school in a bus or train needless to say how inconvenient it will be to have a brittle and heavy clay bottle packed in my bag (nowadays people mostly use bag packs). And the other concern about water seeping out as pointed out by Mr. Gamini. Convenience is the main selling point of plastic bottles in the market. With his attitude towards solving health problems related to plastic bottles, he should have innovated a clay bottle probably by enhancing its properties accordingly to match plastic bottles in usage. Otherwise, this will be a failed investment. Also, apart from Mr. Gamini, the other investors didn't have a clue what they were supposed to ask about this innovation.

The product is good but instead of putting water, why can't you put essential oil? so you could brand it as a sri lankan cultural asset
