Forgive me for being silly if this is not possible, but I wonder if Vedal could make so that when someone directly asks Neuro a question, she can respond even if others are talking. She seems capable of differentiating between voices, so perhaps once the question is registered and that specific person stops speaking she will speak no matter what.
@Carlos-Perez She can differentiate voices, she's done so when Anny and Vedal were in the same room using the same discord. She's also done so with a few other situations. She's also able to tell apart different animals, sneezes, coughs, different tones of voices, and much more. She's been able to do that for like, six months plus now
I don't think it's possible without some really advanced tech that's just not there yet. Neuro is essentially like the microphone text to speech button, just automatic. She listens and as long as there is talking and as soon as there is a break stops generating the best response and blurts it out. To be able to cut people off would be to generate her own responses practically without input. While she already could do that, it would just be nonsense like when she is alone, not based on what the other is saying like when two humans speak.
@@somebloke.this is incorrect. Vedal’s programs analyse the text as it streams in to prepare memories for the next response. He can certainly make Neuro capable of cutting someone off if the moment seems right. He probably needs to make himself a toggle for this functionality though, because it wouldn’t be ideal for the normal streaming format.
@@somebloke. She can actually cut someone off she did it multiple times with vedal before but vedal just made it that she'll instantly stop talking when someone spoke and won't speak as long as she can hear someone speak because he probably got tired of Neuro speaking non-stop while he's speaking.
It feels like it might be better if Vedal set it up in a way that there is the general conversation that the stream can hear and possibly neuro but that is lower priority to respond to and can be ignored at times and a secondary conversation or call that Neuro can hear and give priority to responding to even if there is are still people talking in the first call.
The apparently unexplained pauses are a bit disappointing; but simultaneously, when she does seem to manage to behave in pretty much real time is absurdly impressive. I wish so much of it wasn't "trade secret". I mean, i know most of it has some level of equivalent on open-source or at least published papers; but I'm really curious how Vedal has setup his systems in specific. It's a bit frustrating not knowing when I'm making a dumb suggestion or making some unfair complaint. It is frustrating, but I totally understand he doesn't feel like sharing the secret sauce (even though the odds of someone else having the brain, budget, and personality to replicate his success would be pretty small; it's still stuff I expect to be quite precious to him)
At least eith the Minecraft plugin, it's basically a Baritone model which while I get why he's using it, kinda sucks as it uses scriptable commands to do actions that it tries to figure out. Basically, Neuro is asking another very basic ai to do things instead of being avle to actually play normally. It also tells her exactly where players are and what all the blocks near her are which is why she plays so weird as she gets distracted by lapis or iron in the ground and will just dig directly to it instead of actually going on her adventures.
