    Great history lesson. All those outdated devices played a huge part in my younger days. I even remember thinking when I get a cell phone, I will use it for phone calls only. Now I very much need my cell phone for internet, GPS, texting and camera and hardly use it to really phone people.

      It's almost hard to imagine life without them now, but looking back, it’s fascinating to see how far we’ve come.

    The irony of my watching this on my phone, thinking how much better things were back then.

      Yep. It's funny how we miss the better days while using today's tech to relive them!

    you also forget that a lot of these devices are making a big comeback for nostalgia, there has been a huge surge in vinyl sales and cd sales, so saying these are obsolete is ridiculous more and more people want to own and touch this physical media, as you say streaming services, although you can download music media, they are not actually yours, most times you need a subscription and if you lose your account them you lost your media, so there are drawbacks to todays technology. nothing ever goes away, what was once obsolete is coming back

      It's great to see that what was once considered obsolete is making a comeback!

    And now.. the replacement of actual Narrator's for video by the use of AI Bots!! A good one, but you can still tell by certain pronunciations. Good Job!! Nice video..

    l remember those days and the stuffs we use. lts sad it's gone. Technology took everything now everyone use it at home. no more socialize and exercising. l like the old days better cuz u go out and do things. Technology is like it's lazy. l miss those good old ďays.

    Ah, Pagers....I can still remember the beep,beep,beep slowly fading away as I got too many pages from an obnoxious boss,fading away as I tossed that thing across a large field...Oh what satisfaction.

    I'm German, and I had an C-64 Computer and an Atari Acoustic Coupler. Also, there was a German Magazine called Happy Computer.
    In their magazine they had all the Telephone (Internet) numbers from America. I't was not called Internet, I can't remember what, but I do remember Fido Net?
    Anyway, you could call one number at a time. But it was great to use.
    At the end of the month my mother was screaming showing me the Telephone bill. It was huge! That was my end for Internet during the 80s

    No one congratulated at video rental stores. It was just another business. And they are still around in some places.

      Yep. Sounds like you experienced some of the best of the 60s and 70s! Even without the neon, you were right in the middle of that amazing era with all the classic items and trends. Those decades had such a unique vibe!

    Smoking in the hospital

    • @Whoremembersusa
      @Whoremembersusa  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's hard to imagine now, but smoking in hospitals was once common, even in patient rooms! Back in the day, people didn't have the same awareness about the health risks of smoking, and it wasn't until later that stricter regulations were put in place to protect health in those environments. It’s a major shift from today’s smoke-free hospital policies!
