Fun fact, this method is best form to use Ginger when it has been dehydrated. If you grind it into powder you can sprinkle with food when cooking and then makes food more hot. Not Hot as in spicy or temperature but hot as in nature of food which brings more blood circulation into the body. So best way to take is small amount of Dry ginger and put into Thermo about 16oz at most. Then you add boiling water and close thermo and leave for 30min to cook dry ginger into water to make dry ginger tea. Then drink slowly. This will really help people with all kind of illness because it generates oxygen flow in the entire body and makes more heat in your body so organs work more properly and then you have less illness or problem or if already have illness can help reverse. Very good for Vegan diet too because most vegan diet is considered cold food so this is replacement for meat which is considered hot but none of the bad stuff that comes from eating meat. Hope this was useful. Good luck with all your ginger!

Leisa, I watched this twice but didn't hear you say how you make your Ginger Water. How much ginger goes into 1 gallon of water? Do you drink it once a day, a quart a day, how do you do it? I love ginger, have used it for tummy issues but what you read makes it seem like a miracle plant. I watched a video, think 'Epic Gardener', about how to grow ginger in a pot. I am going to stock up with this fabulous herb. Thank you!

We harvested 3 gallon bags last Fall, and son took one. I'm going to use your method and dehydrate most of it! We love fresh shredded ginger. I also grew turmeric (take it daily for inflammation due to disc degeneration in lower back). Rather than peel it as recommended, I dehydrated it, then ground it fine. The skin doesn't grind the well so I just sifted it and composted the hard skin pieces. Two back surgeries helped somewhat but I can definitely tell if I get lazy on my turmeric intake. If ginger helps with inflammation as well as turmeric, count me in on ginger water!
