    Such brilliance to construct a song like this out of DADGAD.....even to put those lead licks in there! Well done as usual.

    If you did just all Zep songs, that would be fine with me. 😝

    James- just want to say a huge THANK YOU! You are awesome and helped my playing so much. I appreciate what you do and hope you are making millions and don't have a real job. Love your covers - have taught me to play so many songs. Especially love the zep stuff and how simple you make it without a lot of talking! You are the best - thank you so much!

    I noticed you have a replica of Pete Townsend’s 5 favorite guitar. That’s awesome.

    Awesome! BTW, where did you get that T-Shirt? The Fillmore East Shirt? In the song remains the same, the Madison SQ Garden show, there's a kid in the front row with that exact shirt on.

      The guy in SRTS had a Fillmore West shirt. :). I made mine...well, my wife ironed on the letters. I couldn’t be trusted to do that right.

    Great tune and one of the prettiest Les Paul's I've ever laid my eyes on. Did you have to special order or did Gibson come out with a Pete Townshend signature/custom?

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gibson makes a #1 burgundy LP and a couple of goldtop versions. But this one was converted to Pete specs by a guy in New Jersey.

      Thanks anyway please keep up the good work lots and lots of people really enjoy both of your channels it’s to bad some people are unhappy and try to make everyone else unhappy around them they are certainly missing out on life also I remember the last PT video I’m serious about how much you have helped me finding you on TH-cam saved my ass my guitar playing started as joke from wife she bought me 99 dollar electric guitar for dummies for my brithday she was sick of me saying I sure would like to learn how to play a guitar someday because looks like so much fun and it is fun I’m having a blast to be able to play some of the songs I grew up with just makes me appreciate the music even more you start to hear so much more of the song the detail of everything included in the song comes to your ear I have you to thank for that you just appreciate the talent of the artists so much more when you play an instrument I have noticed that some of the older videos on both channels have disappeared how can I go to beginning of both channels to enjoy the depth of both of your channels the song list is amazing I asked about the scales because of a video from the Stones Dead Flowers live from the Marquee Club in London 1971 their farewell tour before they went to France you can see the scales come alive as Mick Taylor smoothly rips up and down the neck with those amazing fills he just brings that song to life anyway sorry to keep rambling on so long I’m just having a great time playing my guitar and I have you to thank for that it’s hard to believe how fast the time has gone bye since I found the PT channel 8 years ago not to sound greedy but do you think you could do some
      Lynyrd Skynyrd just kidding I think you have the most songs on TH-cam from Skynyrd keep having fun you should form band I’m sure you would sound great and have a blast as well once again thanks so much for taking the time to post those videos your helping 1000’S of people find their way up and down the FINGERBOARD !!!!!!!!!

    You have one of the most solid guitar collections I’ve seen...ever thought about adding one of Jimmy’s Danelectro’s to your selection? It was my first guitar as it was the only one I could afford from my hero’s collection.

    Does anybody know How to solo over Kashmir
    It’s near impossible in my head
    Pls help .

    • @jamesjames9275
      @jamesjames9275  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my mind, one of the things that makes Kashmir so great is that Jimmy resisted the temptation to add a guitar solo to it. It's about the relentless, driving rhythm that seems to escalate forever -- it ain't about guitar histrionics. But that's just me.

    • @davidgeorge5863
      @davidgeorge5863 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jamesjames9275 such a good point a solo woudhave ruin the song instead of adding to it
      but iam asking out of curiosity how would you fit a solo over the main riff
      first of all really weird chords and rythem
      how does theory apply to this ?
      thanks btw never thought youd reply

      Tyson Mindham For slide, I go with open E mostly. For chord works and fingerpicking, DADGAD is fun.
