Matt, I just got home from my job. I teach English in South Korea. I arrived in November, and then COVID happened. I’m having to make peace with the fact I’m not going to be able to go home to my friends and family until possibly 2022. What I’m saying is, this EP was one of the very few things I was truly looking forward to, and I’m so impressed. The production is stellar. I truly hope you continue following this passion. I hope it gives you something to work toward the way it has for me.

We’ve been teaching remotely for nine months now and it’s certainly not the same as the experience I had coming here, but I find seeing my kids rewarding. We also live in the best possible time for staying connected with people all over the world, so I’m glad for that as well. Every day feels a little easier. If you come, I don’t think you’ll regret it, but do make sure you have certain things in place before you do. Get a google phone number or telegram or something because your US number won’t work here, for example lol I never do this but stream Ouch! and Dynamite lol

I've just woken up. It's around 6 am here in Ireland. I had a dream where Shaq and Yao Ming died from covid. This is a good surprise to wake up. I wasn't expecting this for another week. This is a fantastic EP Matt. It's so goddanm chill and it works really for me right now. I don't know what I was expecting but this is fantastic. These songs are really digestible. I don't have the best hearing when it comes to music and usually have to look up words when listening to music. Every song in this I could understand really well. Great job Matt. I don't usually like songs without any singing but Jello is really good. It's so calming and so easy to listen too. My only complaint for this song is that it isn't longer. Come Over is really good. Everthing about it is great. It's just a sing I could chill out on all day. Nokia is my favourite song on the EP. Its just really goddanm good. Its a song I could listen to on repeat for days and still love it. Margie is great. Its great sleep music. A song that could ease me into slumber. This is holds Nokia in a tie for my favourite song in the EP. It's just so good. Feel This Way is so good. How do you do it Matt. It's a banger. It's now a three way tie for my favourite song in the EP. I like that it feels a lot slower than the other songs. The ending fading out is also great. It feels so weird to me. It fells like something that I would hear in a dream. Sleep Tight of course is really good. It sounds like something I would hear on Nathan's Christmas Album(Which is also really good). It works really well as the ending to the EP. This EP felt like it was made to put me to sleep. And it's fantastic. If everthing you release is a good as this, then I think everyone would be happy. Great Job Matt.

I know that this is a joke but I’m feeling especially vitriolic today so I’m going to reply to it as face value: Ryan is the epitome of pathetic and his biggest accomplishment by the time of his death is going to be that he at one time ran a let’s play channel with a successful artist. Ryan is not smart or talented enough to amount to anything beyond farting into a mic 3 times a podcast. Ryan often monopolizes conversations, interrupting matt constantly, in order to give his unwanted insight on a topic he knows nothing about all while interrupting himself 4 or 5 times every minute because he forgets what he’s talking about halfway through talking. Having a decent life that you should be happy about by all means, but that depression and discontent still creeping in is something that I think about a lot. Feeling like you "can't complain" because things are good but you still feel the way you do despite that. Then you expressing that the rain makes you happy, but "it doesn't rain enough" meaning that you don't feel that happiness nearly enough. Idk man, maybe I'm reading way too much into it, but these meanings are what make me enjoy the song that much more, so thank you I guess.
hey this is awesome!! I love seeing everyone interpretations of the meaning behind these songs, gotta say, you worded this perfectly. We kind of came to similar conclusions on this one, so it’s satisfying to see someone put that idea into words. Personally I thought it was about not knowing you’re depressed and just trying to trudge on because you have ‘no reason’ to feel so low. And I’m probably just projecting my own struggles here but the lyrics ‘you come and go just like a train, I’m locked in place. You got me chained, just like a dog you’ve got me trained’ made me think it’s about a toxic/ abusive relationship because of the way abusers make you feel almost sub-human, and use your trust in them to gain what they want from you (like a dog). Anyway that’s just my interpretation of it, and it was super interesting to hear yours!!

Not surprised that Matt made such a solid EP that hits in all the right ways. Even in his parody songs you could hear he has a great ear for music. I'm glad he said he will make more in the future, I look forward to hearing a lot more!

I've just woken up. It's around 6 am here in Ireland. I had a dream where Shaq and Yao Ming died from covid. This is a good surprise to wake up. I wasn't expecting this for another week.
This is a fantastic EP Matt. It's so goddanm chill and it works really for me right now. I don't know what I was expecting but this is fantastic. These songs are really digestible. I don't have the best hearing when it comes to music and usually have to look up words when listening to music. Every song in this I could understand really well. Great job Matt.
I don't usually like songs without any singing but Jello is really good. It's so calming and so easy to listen too. My only complaint for this song is that it isn't longer.
Come Over is really good. Everthing about it is great. It's just a sing I could chill out on all day.
Nokia is my favourite song on the EP. Its just really goddanm good. Its a song I could listen to on repeat for days and still love it.
Margie is great. Its great sleep music. A song that could ease me into slumber. This is holds Nokia in a tie for my favourite song in the EP. It's just so good.
Feel This Way is so good. How do you do it Matt. It's a banger. It's now a three way tie for my favourite song in the EP. I like that it feels a lot slower than the other songs. The ending fading out is also great. It feels so weird to me. It fells like something that I would hear in a dream.
Sleep Tight of course is really good. It sounds like something I would hear on Nathan's Christmas Album(Which is also really good). It works really well as the ending to the EP.
This EP felt like it was made to put me to sleep. And it's fantastic. If everthing you release is a good as this, then I think everyone would be happy. Great Job Matt.

I know that this is a joke but I’m feeling especially vitriolic today so I’m going to reply to it as face value: Ryan is the epitome of pathetic and his biggest accomplishment by the time of his death is going to be that he at one time ran a let’s play channel with a successful artist. Ryan is not smart or talented enough to amount to anything beyond farting into a mic 3 times a podcast. Ryan often monopolizes conversations, interrupting matt constantly, in order to give his unwanted insight on a topic he knows nothing about all while interrupting himself 4 or 5 times every minute because he forgets what he’s talking about halfway through talking. To say that Ryan is responsible in any way for Matt’s success is a funny haha but I can’t help myself but to reply seriously when I say that if anything, Ryan is the exact reason matt isn’t more successful

Man. Idk if it's the message you were trying to convey, but the one I got from Come Over is one that I relate to more than you could ever know.
Having a decent life that you should be happy about by all means, but that depression and discontent still creeping in is something that I think about a lot. Feeling like you "can't complain" because things are good but you still feel the way you do despite that. Then you expressing that the rain makes you happy, but "it doesn't rain enough" meaning that you don't feel that happiness nearly enough.
Idk man, maybe I'm reading way too much into it, but these meanings are what make me enjoy the song that much more, so thank you I guess.
hey this is awesome!! I love seeing everyone interpretations of the meaning behind these songs, gotta say, you worded this perfectly. We kind of came to similar conclusions on this one, so it’s satisfying to see someone put that idea into words.
Personally I thought it was about not knowing you’re depressed and just trying to trudge on because you have ‘no reason’ to feel so low. And I’m probably just projecting my own struggles here but the lyrics ‘you come and go just like a train, I’m locked in place. You got me chained, just like a dog you’ve got me trained’ made me think it’s about a toxic/ abusive relationship because of the way abusers make you feel almost sub-human, and use your trust in them to gain what they want from you (like a dog).
Anyway that’s just my interpretation of it, and it was super interesting to hear yours!!
Loving the EP. Can’t get over the haunting production on Jello. Makes driving with the windows down inhaling all this wildfire smoke worth it.
listening to this made me feel like when you get really immersed in a movie, and returning to the real world is so strange cuz it's like you've been through this life altering adventure but the world has only aged an hour or so. and you look around and feel like all these people are insignificant because they've probably been worrying about taxes and groceries while you had the story of a lifetime unfold. yeah.

The entire EP gives me such calm vibes. I feel like I'm little again, playing Sims 2 on my Gameboy while its raining when this is playing in the background. A very nice, relaxing jam to listen to. It's also unique seeing this side of Matt in his work too, it's nice to see!
