This theme defined my childhood. I was obsessed with college football and I still am. I still remember those crazy games where I’d be watching my Irish play in primetime on the edge of my seat. Gives me chills to this day.

All the other ones use the trick of trying to hide the vocals through an Audacity Mid Channel trick, which rarely works well.
I guess y'all foreigners get lucky to listen to all that music instead of commercials :) Do networks usually let the music play during commercial on the international feeds?

Some of y'all is crazy. This is the best theme ESPN college football ever has had. Yes, the themes from the BCS era were good, but college football is changing, recruiting is bigger than its ever been, there are more games than ever that have National title impact and the playoff games and the new years 6 bowls. We're in a new era of college football, get over it. Cant wait until the 8 team playoff and then the 16 team playoff. College football has never been better.
8 Team playoff would ruin college football. 4 is perfect so almost every major conference can theoretically get a team in. 8 teams would destroy the regular season because good fall games would lose value when 9-3 can get you in and 10-2 is guaranteed
I like the BCS era theme song because of the history and legacies made during that time(1999-2014) but I think this theme perfectly puts the intesity into the playoff. Even though I personally believe it should be 8 teams, but for now I'll accept 4.
They altered it a bit this season where it sounds way better, this is the first one they used in January. I hope someone releases that one on here soon.

Sped up, it has more of a pep band feel to it, as opposed to standard field marching band. (Pep band tunes are usually a bit more sped up to get the crowd on their feet.)

Actually they are still using this version for ABC Saturday Night Football. For all the other games, the different version you mentioned.
