We start today's drive in the town of Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, which is nestled in the heart of the Dolomite Mountains, and follow the 'strada regionale 48 delle Dolomiti (SR 48)' to the top of Passo Falzarego (Falzarego Pass). Thanks for this. I've ridden these roads many times - I usually base out of Arabba for a couple of days at a time.
The old fort-turned-museum on the Valparola is worth a visit. That was a particularly nasty war.
