To clarify briefly since no one here seems to do this... This is not Mexican music. It is a type of music certain people in Mexico listen but only for one reason. This kind of music corridos alterados ( not to be confused with regular corridos) we're meant to pump up Hitman in cartels to get them into the mindset of killing. People don't get ready for war by listening to Brittany Spears. Reason I wanted to make sure it was clarified is because this is one of the reasons people judge Mexicans so harshly. Not everyone listens to drill (Chicago) rap just like not everyone listens to corridos alterados. If you notice the trend after the war ended (for the most part) "corridos" slowly trended to a more calm more personal touch. Corridos are more sung about a person being wealthy or working very hard to being where they are at while still remaining humble. Guys don't get carried away claiming Mexico is "harder" than the u.s because it is not and neither is the u.s harder than Mexico. Everyone has problems if that were the case people in wartorn Sierra Leone or some other African nation will say Mexico is a soft place where people think it's hard. Do not be proud of what's going on nor fight when someone claims their geographical location is more intense.

To clarify briefly since no one here seems to do this... This is not Mexican music. It is a type of music certain people in Mexico listen but only for one reason.
This kind of music corridos alterados ( not to be confused with regular corridos) we're meant to pump up Hitman in cartels to get them into the mindset of killing. People don't get ready for war by listening to Brittany Spears.
Reason I wanted to make sure it was clarified is because this is one of the reasons people judge Mexicans so harshly. Not everyone listens to drill (Chicago) rap just like not everyone listens to corridos alterados. If you notice the trend after the war ended (for the most part) "corridos" slowly trended to a more calm more personal touch. Corridos are more sung about a person being wealthy or working very hard to being where they are at while still remaining humble. Guys don't get carried away claiming Mexico is "harder" than the u.s because it is not and neither is the u.s harder than Mexico.
Everyone has problems if that were the case people in wartorn Sierra Leone or some other African nation will say Mexico is a soft place where people think it's hard. Do not be proud of what's going on nor fight when someone claims their geographical location is more intense.
