Hiranyakeshi Temple | Amboli Herping Series #5 | MarathiVLog

Episode 5: Hiranyakeshi Temple is the point from where Hiranyakeshi river originates. There is an idol of Devi Hiranyakeshi (a form of Goddess Parvati) with golden hair and self-manifested red color Shivling called as Hiranyakeshwar. The temple is located amidst the lush forest of locally protected Sacred Grove. Adjacent to the temple, there is a cave, which is said to be the point where the Hiranyakeshi river originates. Water rushes out with tremendous force to fall into the Kund, from where it further flows out.
भाग ५: हिरण्यकेशी देवस्थानातून, हिरण्यकेशी नदीचा उगम होतो. सोनेरी केसाची हिरण्यकेशी देवी, हि पार्वतीचे एक रूप आहे. तसेच, देवस्थानात लाल रंगाचे शिवलिंग आहे ज्याला हिरण्यकेश्वर म्हणतात. खरतर हे देवस्थान स्थानिकांनी राखीव ठेवलेल्या वनराईच्या एक भाग आहे. मंदिराच्या उजव्या बाजूला एक गुहा आहे, जिथे हिरण्यकेशी नदीचा उगम होतो, असे म्हटले जाते. कातळा खालून आलेल्या झऱ्याचे पाणी प्रचंड वेगाने समोरील कुंडात पडते आणि तिथूनच पुढे हिरण्यकेशी नदीचा प्रवास सुरु होतो.

Amboli (Teh: Sawantvadi, Dist: Sindhudurga) - is known as Cherapunji of Maharashtra. Amboli has 2 unique habitats which includes Rainforests and globally threatened laterite plateau.. and with these 2 unique ecosystems - biodiversity here flourishes! There are N number of endemic species of flora and fauna found here and some are still to be discovered. I had recently visited Amboli this monsoon to look for some lifers. आंबोली (ता. सावंतवाडी, जि. सिंधुदुर्ग) - ह्याची ओळख महाराष्ट्राचे चेरापुंजी अशी आहे. आंबोलीला सदाहरित वर्षावने आणि सडे असे दोन अद्वितीय अधिवास लाभले आहेत. साहजिकच त्यामुळे इथली जैवविविधता बघण्यासारखी आहे. अगणित स्थानिक प्रजातींचा माहेरघर असलेल्या आंबोलीत, आजही अनेक नवीन प्रजाती अजूनही शोधायच्या बाकी आहेत. पावसाळ्याचे निमित्त साधून, २ दिवसाच्या सहलीसाठी आंबोलीत गेलो असताना माझा सर्व प्रवास, निरीक्षणे मी ह्या मालिके द्वारे तुमच्या पर्यंत पोहोचवत आहे. तुमचे स्वतःचे काही अनुभव तुम्हाला शेअर करायचे असल्यास खालती "कंमेंट बॉक्स" मध्ये तुम्ही कळवू शकता.
