I have the large tan and it's light, sharp and thin stock but I don't know why I wasn't as pleased as I thought I'd be. It's good but probably not my thing.

I have the small. It gives me the same feels as the pilar. An excellent design somewhat wasted on the budget market. An upgraded version would be great.

have to admit it, i bought this knife solely for the name. Turns out it is a great knife, especially for the money. The only negative is the 8cr13, but for 30 bucks its a steel.

I can't believe it took 5 yrs for someone to voice appreciation for your pun.

In New Zealand they're selling these around $100 NZ, about $60 usa
Which for the steel is to much.
You Americans are spoilt with your prices.

I got an email from Western Active today saying that the Hook and Claw knives are now available. Not interested in either myself, but for those who like that style blade, there ya go. I imagine you might have to go to their website to get them..have not seen them on Amazon yet..I have to buy from their site anyway, as Amazon will not send a flipper to my location.even though they are not illegal here...Amazon seems to think all of NYS goes by the same rules as NYC I guess.

I have the large tan d2 model. The jimping at the flipper tab is goofy but otherwise I like it.

What a great knife! Incredible price, smart design, no complaints with the materials used. - my only reservation: the blade stock is a bit too thick for my taste. Is it just me being fussy?

LTK- This would be fantastic with G-10 and S35vn. Has the look of a Giant Mouse.

It seems like everyone loves these. I would buy one if they didn't put the logo in the middle of the handle scale.

If this knife had s30v with the same design, attention to details and sell it for 50 it would take the place of my bugout.

Got the small. It's OK. Wish my CRKT Pilar had at least this kind of attention to detail and build quality...

I have a couple problems with them, or, rather, some general design "features" that these models share. First off, why put jimping on the top of a liner lock when you are pushing it from the SIDE. I've had several that would not only have been fine without it, but would be considerably easier on my thumb without. Next up is the faux jimping molded into the handle. Why? Are we so dumb we need a sign with a flashing arrow on how and where to release the lock? Lastly, what's up with still using 8cr13MOV in this day and age? For something in the ~$30-35 range, there are other options with 14c21n that are as good or better. I've nothing against owning or using one, but with a couple minor tweeks they could be super competitive.

Love the design. Too bad it's made in china and the steel is not very good.
