This procedure is the same for a Fusion 2017 2.0l SE
Very simple. I would just recommend to empty the whole coolant system before removing the old water pump through the valve underneath the radiator and opening the reservoir cap before removing the water pump to depressurize the system.
Also it is necessary to burp the system after adding new coolant to get rid of any air pocket in the radiator and engine block.
PS: Fusions from that model and above have no valve to burp the system because it works under pressure. So you must filling the system slowly with the new coolant and after that turning your car ON with the MAX hot air (not the AC tough) for 2 minutes (rev it every 30 secs at 2500 RPMs for 30 sec each time) that will push any pocket out of the system and you will see bubbles coming out of your reservoir.
Fill the reservoir once more and rev your car for about 10 minutes until the thermostat open and you see more bubbles coming out. (rev your car for about 30 seconds at 4k rpm to help to push the bubbles out).
Fill the coolant to the max line and keep an eye in the next week for any lowering in the reservoir level. That model fills up with 8.5l of orange coolant.
    Excellent video.

@Christian Moreno there is a valve beside the engine block (for that model) under the battery side. It opens twisting it using a flat screwdriver. While you add the coolant with the valve open you hear air coming out of it. Stop when coolant start steady pouring out of that valve and twist it back. Keep adding coolant, squeezing the hoses to get rid of any big pockets in the system that might remain in the radiator too.
Seal the reservoir with the cap. Run your car and wait until the thermostat opens and check the level of coolant. Keep your an eye on the reservoir for the next two weeks to check if the coolant level goes down.
That was an awesome job sir!

Just had Meidas quote $1,600 to replace the water pump on my 2013 Fusion. It sounded insane and after watching your video, I can confirm they were trying to rip me off.

a great way to remove a water pump like this 1.5 x1.5 x12 inch peace of wood rod... place one side on the pump.. and with a hammer.. one good tap will break the bond.. and the pump will pop right off

Curious if you knew, this procedure would be the same for a 13 ford fusion se 1.6L? That titanium model looks very similar to mine just some differences. I appreciate your future response! Of course, if you have time to answer!!!

@Kimhoeun Chhay I appreciate the response!!!! If you ever want to know, my 2013 ford fusion se ecoboost 1.6L, the water pump is behind the timing belt (I really hate engineering/developers for engines lmao!) So might as well replace the timing belt too, also had to find someone that has worked on timing belts before, so I don't f--%$ up haha. Thanks Again! Keep up the Amazing videos, I really appreciate your work!

I was intimidated, looking into this tiny engine compartment! But not too bad. I was thinking having to go under, then back on top, then under and so on- kinda' like a wrestling match- but not so. Thanks

Wouldn't you change also the drive belt beign that it was contaminated with the antifreeze, which would cause it to damage the fiber of the drive belt.

Hi, I have a question. I have a Ford Fusion 2.0 SE 2015, which failed the water pump while driving, which caused the temperatures to rise to maximun level so I stopped the Car, but the automatic transmission never worked again, that is, I could not go to Neutral to mover the car to the crane service. Why won't it let me go from Parking to Neutral?

Check your transmission linkage bushing. It is a piece of plastic in the top of your transmission rod. Might be broken.
