"This Boy" has some great harmonies
Best song they ever wrote
Along with Yes It Is, and Words Of Love.
@@amb2745 - Agree! Yes It Is (in my opinion) has their best melodies
Such a great song
Yes. The two songs do have a similar quality. I've always felt that both give you that "floating on a cloud" feeling.
My all time favorite. John’s voice is truly amazing.
What about Paul's voice? The harmonies between both of them make the song. Wouldn't be as good without both of their voices in there.
Main voice was Paul, harmonising by John
@@TheGreatPresenter John did most of the singing. He sang through the whole song including the introduction and then Paul came in and did the high harmony. Just go watch the scene in A hard Day's night where they perform the song right after Ringo's complaining about one of the stage hands touching his drum kit and you'll see that it's John that's doing the lead singing. It cannot be disputed who's doing the lead singing and who's singing throughout the whole whole song. It's John. No question about it. Not that I need that video to know whose voice it is because I know the difference between John and Paul's voice I've been listening to The Beatles for over 50 years.
@@daletwin1 You're right. The main voice is John's, especially at the beginning. Having said that, I do think this song contains perhaps the sweetest harmonising that John and Paul ever put to vinyl. The influence of the Everly Brothers appears to be at work here - they were also great harmonisers. And its John and Paul's collaboration that makes this one of my favourite early Beatles' recordings.
My all time fav too!
Hi, Cindy ..... you don't hear harmonizing like that any more .... the passing years have made me appreciate even more how wonderful and special those 4 lads from Liverpool really were ..... have a great weekend!
Her name is Cimdy.
Her name is Cimdy
these older Beatle songs are so underrated! Add me to those recommending "This Boy".
Yep. People overlook the fact that they dominated that era of pop and rock, as well as the mid 60s transition to another sound. No one did what they did.
Tom Petty used to says: ' They were The Beatles and there were everybody else"
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Beatles never get tried of listening to them. Dont know which one is my favour song. Great reaction sis
I just like how they harmonize their voices
I've been around since the beginning with them, and this one is probably the first song that really drove it home for me on how talented they were, because of the harmonies. Still blows me away today, almost 60 years later.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Watching your face makes me feel like a young man again. Young girls back in the day looked just like you when this song came out, I love your appreciation of this great music. Thank you for sharing 😎
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
This song has always been among my top ten favorite Beatles songs. The harmonies just reach right into my heart. John had a tender side which is very obvious in this masterpiece. I love it!
And my all time favorite Debbie!!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Great song as usual, Beatles are amazing and one of my favorite. the lyrics will make one think deep and at the same been sceptical of falling in love again if once broken.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Paul and John ❤️ beautiful harmonies ... thus sung will never get old .... sweetie 😂😂
You said it all, the beatles is all about qualities 💯💯💯
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
This is great song, great harmony and sweet melodies. Thanks for sharing.
I've always loved the way Paul's voice cracks just a bit at 2:44-5 - no do-overs because is was perfect
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
The Beatles voices are always good and great, their songs are so good to listen to
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Melts my heart and brings me to tears each and every time 💖😄💖😉💖
I never get tired of listening to the Beatles' music and watching your reactions. You are very lucky to be able to listen to these songs for the first time. These songs are fantastic and always will be better than anything new today!
Somehow I expect "Tell me Why" to play after this...
Funny, I always expect "I'm Happy Just to Dance with You".
@@thomast8539 I think it depends on which album. A Hard Day's Night, or Something New. Almost identical Albums.
oh my goodness i really enjoyed it so wonderful stay beautiful .
You know it's really funny I forgot to mention that when he says love is more than just holding hands you have to remember that they did that song previously cuz I Want to Hold Your Hand which was a huge hit so that was the start of their advancing on to other things even back then
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Every era of the Beatles rocks!!!👌👍✌😎
Wow It is amazing and also for emotional people,I love how cool the song is,just like cimdy just smiling like a newly wedded bride 👍❤❤🎶🎶
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
I enjoyed your reaction....their voice is amazingly beautiful and it's shocking they had no vocal training. I enjoyed watching this video so much 😍 I am a big fan too.
Oh my goodness I enjoyed this one
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
One thing is funny. John sings here: "And I found that love was more than just holding hands". When you think that one of their hits was "I want to hold your hand" ;-)
The Rolling Stones their greatest rivals were a bit more naughty wanting to just make love make love. "I just want to make love to you". (No string attached) Ha ha ha!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Paul McCartney is my favourite Beatles star and I love his voice 💖🎶
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
George was singing too. This is one of my fave tunes from A Hard Days Night. I grew up with the Beatles.
One mic, two voices singing the same song in different keys. Totally magical. This boy...from the Ed Sullivan show.. actually was a 4 year old who's grandparents let stay up late one night...been a fan since. Keep them coming. ❤
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Excellent , Very Good , Hard Day's Night album is so Great !!!
Three part harmony ... The Beatles always Just Perfect!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
In 1966 a music reviewer said "In one hundred years time, the music of The Beatles will be regarded in the same way we view the music of J.S. Bach".
We're half way there!!
This song is on my top 10 of best beatles song i Love it❤
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
So good to see your beautiful face! You always make me happy. 🤟🏻😎👍🏻
Thank you so much 🤗
Hi what a beautiful woman ❤️ you are keep playing the Beatles peace and love to you
Another wonderful one from the beatles
'Hard Days Night' is my personal favourite album of all time, and this track is a beauty. Those harmonies, John's gorgeous voice, it really doesn't get better! The whole album is a delight - I hope you will play it all and enjoy it. This is life-affirming music!
Could have been even better with one more (14th) song fex Bad to me or World without love
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Love your smile when the Beatles are singing. 🥰
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
will never be forgotten
Add me to This Boy too. Great 3 part harmony with John taking the Lead.
Love will never go out of style, so love songs will correspondingly abide. As the Beatles wrote and sang quality love songs, the Beatles will endure as long as love itself.
Blown away is perfect .. the lyric is simple but so true..- and relatable. This is their harmonies at their best.. goosebumps .. I love so much of their music but a lot of my faves are less known ones like this.. ‘ rain’ is another for u to check out !!
That smile on your face is exactly why the Beatles were so awesome. They always made you feel good. :)
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Yes, sweet as honey. They had natural ability. A lot of songs at this time were short in order to fit in commercial on the radio. Another sweet Beatles ballad is "Listen do you want to know a Secret".
"Do you want to know a secret", without "listen". Or she won't find it.
@@Ottonio Thank you. Ok
The genius of simplicity. Stripped down to basic elements. A lovely song.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Wow do you no i slept off while listening very calm soul relaxing thanks for sharing much love
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
They are flow perfectly beautiful, amazing reaction gorgeous queen 👸🏾👍🏾
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Cimdy Smile! "If I Fell" shows how The Beatles song writing grew more mature quite rapidly, from "I want to hold your hand" to "love was more than just holding hands" in just one year. A few other classic tunes from A Hard Day's Night are "And I Love Her", "I Should Have Known Better", "You Can't Do That", "Things We Said Today", "Tell Me Why", and of course, "Can't Buy Me Love".
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
I love the way they act when they sing.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html

Their voice is the bomb, nice reaction
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
The Beatles are icon 😍😍😍 they made good songs that I think don’t exist anymore😍
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
this is beautifully awesome great performance, tanks for sharing
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
It's a great song, as a Beatles fan, I like seeing Beatles reaction videos from newbies. I loved your reaction.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Great react, Cimdy! You make a good point, I too wish this song was longer. Would've been nice to have a middle instrumental and maybe an additional verse. I'm sure they were mindful that they had to keep it within the 2 - 3 minute time frame for pop/rock radio at the time.
During the filming of A Hard Day's Night, director Richard Lester was presented with so many great songs like this one that he finally had to throw up his hands and say, "All right, that's enough!" My gosh, even the theme song was written overnight by John!
1964 must've been an exciting year. So much had happened to them. As Paul remarked once, well after his years as a Beatle, "We used to look around and say to each other, 'Look what we've done!'"
Regarding John and Paul's classic harmonizing, Beatles business manager described it, in his book "The Love You Make," as a kind of sweet third voice emerging ...
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Sweet sweet chorus, very nice vibe. Thanks for sharing
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
It was then the B-side of the single "And I Love Her..", wich is also a beautiful lovesong. It's from their movie "A Hard Days Night".
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
I'm here watching x
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
I can't remember when I first heard this song, maybe when I was a toddler, but like you, we were all mesmerized from the first listening.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
That song has always been a favorite of mine for all the reasons you mention, and then some. The whole sound of it is the feeling of teen puppy love, but you still feel exactly the same when you fall in love at sixty. Of course...
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
amazing reaction...love the song so good
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Its the harmonies for me 🔥
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Amazing song i enjoy Watching sis.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
This is great and amazing I enjoyed listening to it
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
The Beatles really had great creativity where harmonizing was involved, you can almost see and hear John and Paul chatting about the best vocal effect they could create with this one. Excellent stuff, long live Beatles catalogue..
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
my favorite Beatle's song, and, that is saying something
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Beatiful Cindy i Enjoy the Review
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
beautiful review 🥰💛
The last time Paul sings “vain” he cuts out like he ran out of breath or lost the note. Crazy I never heard that before. I’ve heard this song prob 400 times in my life over 30 years and still hear new stuff. Great review mama
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for your wonderful reaction Cimdy!! Even if 1000 others suggested this song to you I did too, so I am taking credit for this reaction!!!!! For another great love song from the same album you need to react to "And I Love Her". And since you loved the harmonies I have two other Beatles songs featuring great harmonies - Baby's In Black and Because!!! Continued great success to you with your channel and please stay healthy!!!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
I really love this one CimdyStyle!!!
You need to hear "This Boy" next...!!
57 years ago - almost to the day - I sat in a cinema and heard this for the first time. A little of the shine has worn off over the years, but it is still wonderful to listen to. Poor old Paul running out of breath in the second chorus!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Hi Cimdy, nice going back, I"d forgotten how nice this stuff was even though I lived through it. Oh, and this old guy thinks you look especially great today; nice outfit! Hey, check out "Girl" from that time period as well.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Beautiful vocal is an in born talent whether trained or not if you are gifted with it will always remain the best. I find their lyrics so interesting because of their story line but unfortunately it's a risk to trust your heart to someone now our days. You stand to lose it for sure😂
An incredible feeling reliving through your eyes and ears the joy I felt when I heard this song for the first time as I was your age or prior. Makes me a little jealous that you get to hear it for the first time :-) Thank you so much! God bless your heart and soul!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Another great song that takes me back to this early stage of the Beatles is 'til there was you' ...not one of their songs but great all the same.
Lovely reaction to a lovely song. To my mind by the time the group made this third album, 4-track recording was being used and I think you can tell as the music is more spacious and acoustic blending could be treated better. Things were moving on. Liked.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
If I Fell is mainly a John song. He sings the little solo lines like Would love me more than her and Would love to love you. Give this song another listen and listen closely, it's wonderful.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Love this song and your in depth reaction to it. 1964-1966 is peak Beatles in my opinion.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
If you want to hear something amazingly good, play the "flip side," "And I Love Her."
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Cindy, Just start with the first song on their first album and work through the entire catalog.
You won't regret it. Don't forget to watch their first move, "A Hard Day's Night."
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
John and Paul discovered their 'sound' in those early '60s times when they sat on facing chairs, and so much flowed from that discovery. George added a new dimension. This song might be one of those best-ever candidates particularly for the Beatles' first-generation of music. This is still from HARD DAYS NIGHT era but soon, the Beatles' albums would be filling albums with their 2nd generation music, then the 3rd (roughly starting with RUBBER SOUL but solidified in REVOLVER).
By the way, this song is approaching 60 years old, and it never fails to grab my attention. I was in some small village once and heard two young men - 12-15-ish- singing this on the corner with their guitars. It was magical, just because they were so 'into it'.
The melody is ear candy.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Time for you to watch their Movie. 'A Hard Day's Night"
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
this song shows you how amazing Paul and John could harmonize together. Some other songs that the Beatles wrote that have incredible harmonies are I'll be back, Ticket to ride, No reply, Baby's in Black, You're going to lose that girl, paperback writer, nowhere Man and Norwegian Wood. And another great love song that features just Paul McCartney singing is And I Love Her. Ringo plays the bongos on that song and George Harrison plays a Spanish guitar.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Another good song idea off the A Hard Day's Night album, "I Should Have Known Better". Great reaction and keep em coming baby! ✌️😎
Thank you so much
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
George, was also part of that voice harmony, and also his lead guitar.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
1964 early Beatles. I told you their early stuff was great. Much less complex then their later music but always catchy song's. Beatles always had their own sound. Try I Feel Fine, it rocks and is very catchy and went to #1 on the charts. It was released in December 1964 so it may have not hit #1 until January 65. Either way it was a big hit. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
....And you know....... if you hear this song, you can sing along with it..... :-)
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Hell Tea, this is why the gitls all loved them and why guys wanted to emulate them. Beautiful song, isn't it? Keep Smiling...
🤗🤗
I love everything about The Beatles but if I had to choose one thing it would be John & Paul’s voices harmonizing!!

th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Hi from Liverpool Cimdy
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Ahh...early Beatles. Though everything they did was magic..not one bad song, my favorite era is their 63-66 stuff. I feel they were the most together as a group during these years and the best music as well.
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
One of the best things about the The Beatles in the 1960's was that they they refused to change their accents for the audience/world!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
Please react to Beatles, I Should have Know with a Girl like you.!
th-cam.com/video/2N7Y85OxpMc/w-d-xo.html
A Beatles little ditty, to any other band it would have been their biggest hit, nice to know the young are enjoying what we had first time round in the 60s.
