I think rivals somehow has better graphics than unbound or any other need for speed, and thats due to the art styile. And I think that is specifically style what makes this game so special between the NFS lineup of games, its ruthless, violent, challenging (Unlike most NFS) you do feel like the cops HATE you and the pursuits can get as intense as you want, it is just the pure definition of rivalry. I know this game has its haters for the whole onlie thing but I had the privlage to play it mostly online and my god it is the best NFS ive played, it is just epic.
@@samuelisaza2695 can't argue with you there. As much as I've enjoyed Unbound lately I'll always hold Rivals in a special place in my heart. The fact that they managed to squeeze in an entire icy mountain range and dessert in the same map doesn't get enough props.
@@WeebBountyHunter They we're not shut down, they we're merged into one company which Criterion had the balls to make any NFS game. Only Black Box shut down 10 years ago, before the release of Rivals.
1) Go to your game library. 2) Right click on the NFS Rivals and select properties. 3) Go to launch options and enter following command: -GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60. 4) Press OK and launch the game. There is plenty of tutorials on TH-cam and Google. Just search for it.

This mod made it look beautiful but in my mind a game played for the first time looks different after playing it constantly. Like the Cod WM2 remaster looks like the original one in my mind

This game is over 10 years old and the graphic is still insane and mind-blowing. I am still playing it until today

Frostbite is really capable of photorealistic graphics. Why aren't they utilizing it to it's fullest? My only guess is performance concerns.
