I miss these old game shows from the #GoodOldDays. Not just #Scrabble, but many others like #Pyramid, #PressYourLuck, #ThePriceIsRight, #Jeopardy, and #WheelOfFortune, to name a few.
Every tile should have been cued to a specific position in the word. So picking one of those Ts should have given him the blue square, regardless of what Chuck said where there was no way he could have gotten the $.
If they did it that way, what would they do in the case where one instance of a letter is in the word and another instance of the same letter was a stopper? You're gonna really confuse the audience if you say that the stoppers are three letters that aren't in the word, and then say that the first S is a stopper, but the second S goes into the word.
Chuck’s explanation is spot on. Words with repeat letters have the letters fill in from left to right. He couldn’t have gotten the bonus with the order in which he picked those tiles.
@@thechadmosherJMHO. They should have at least given contestants a chance for it in that kind of situation. Then as said they'd have had to not use repeating letters as stoppers

0:06 even the audience machine hated that one
That was a weird home viewer clue.
😂😂😂😂
I know, right? How about that Definition-esque opening? Should have had Dave Duvall do the read. 😅
It's as if Jan wrote that one!
