The beauty of their bond is that it transcends a label. No matter what angle you may see it from, nothing changes the fact that it’s a connection between souls, a relationship of spirits, showcasing the core meaning of love itself.
I don't know about people seriously arguing about a relationship between Sam and Frodo. It's just fun because there are so many Instances in the film showing the depth of their love for each other, whatever kind of love. I think you're taking things to seriously. It's just a joke imo. Anyway, ever heard of the kinsey scale. It's not impossible there is a spark of erotic love in addition to the agape and storge.
@@ElroyMF1 I also don't know many people who actually think there's something there, but to be honest, I think it's at least a valid debate to be had here. Obviously none of the subtext is intentional, neither by Tolkien nor by Jackson, but that doesn't really matter all that much in my opinion. I honestly don't know why many people are that opposed to the thought (well no, I do know, some don't want the Hobbits to be gay because they like the Hobbits but aren't comfortable with gayness). They clearly love each other deeply, and considering all we know about the Hobbit's society, I don't think Sam and Frodo would have the language to express any big gay feelings, or the freedom to show them. I think it's a completely valid reading of the story. It works very well, nothing contradicts it (because Sam can obviously be bisexual and like both Frodo and Rosie, no problem at all). But even if it wasn't, if they said "no homo" after every single hug and slept with every woman they met on the way - I could still totally ship them. There's a difference between a romantic bond you WANT to be there (a ship, that's always possible) and one you think IS there. (So basically exactly what you said, just with more words :D)
@@kaydenblack3178 Dunno--curiosity, perhaps. Sometimes people can edit a film in such a way to make a compelling music video about a relationship. And this was one of them.
I dont even really like Taylor Swift but this is just so perfectly edited that it legit made me cry in while I was at work. I am so mentally unstable about them. I love this so frickin much.
Literally! Look at the ending. “You cannot always be torn in two..” why would Frodo say that if Sam wasn’t in love with him as well as Rosie? It’s like the end of Casablanca. Like Ingrid Bergman, Sam has to accept that he must choose the partner who can give him his best life (Rosie) over his soulmate (Frodo).
This vid is just too funny and cute. Just wish the scenes with Rosie weren't included. No hate to her, but I personally feel her getting married to Sam was forced
I hate the 40 so theories i have heard about a gay relatonship of Frodo and Sam! There are two ways I look at it. Scratch it cause Sam obviously isn't when he is shy of Rosie and then marries her. Frodo even smiles at a couple female characters! If you think Gay, what about Merry and Pippin. I've seen them two together more than anyone! When Frodo and Sam leave the Shire...who runs into them? Merry and Pippin. When Borimir is dying, lets see...who gets kidnapped together...Merry and Pippin! Finally, the third film. Pippin sees death around him. Then reunites with Merry! (Sure Frodo and Sam are many miles away from them!) But what about Eowyn, Aragorn and the dwarf Gimil? They are in the same battle with them! But the main focus Again is...Merry and Pippin! I rest my case!
aren't pippin and merry first cousins? anyway, bisexual people exist, but no one thinks sam and frodo were intended to be gay in the books or movies. we all know they weren't. but it's normal for gay people to project into characters that have such and intense and caring relationship with each other. any interpretation is valid, even outside of what the authors intended.

Belate happy 10 years to this national treasure
Tbh i love Sam and frodos relationship both as a romance and as a friendship, either is amazing
I totally agree with u.

Oh Mr. Frodo
Oh my goodness this was hilarious! XD I love it so much! Too perfect!
I usually can't stand the argument that Sam and Frodo might like each other in that way, but.....DANG IT, this was too GOOD!!

This is perfect💓
I’m crying 🥲 one of my favorite parts of this is that it implies a fatherly bond between Frodo and Gandalf
i love this ship SAM X FRODO IN MY HEARTH
It's a lot more like that in the books actually. The way they express love is so romantic in the book
