    R50 Gleaner
The Gleaner R50 combine is a well-known piece of agricultural equipment designed and manufactured by the Allis-Chalmers Corporation, later acquired by AGCO (Allis-Gleaner Corporation). It is part of the Gleaner brand's line of combines, which are renowned for their innovative design and efficiency in harvesting crops, particularly grain crops like wheat, barley, corn, soybeans, and more. The Gleaner R50 is a part of the R Series, which is a significant advancement in combine technology.
    Description:
The Gleaner R50 combine is a self-propelled combine harvester that plays a crucial role in modern farming operations. It is designed to efficiently and effectively harvest and process various crops. The key features of the Gleaner R50 combine include:
Rotary Separator: The R50 is equipped with a rotary threshing and separating system, which enhances its ability to efficiently separate grain from the plant material. This technology reduces grain loss and ensures a clean sample.
Powerful Engine: The Gleaner R50 combine was equipped with a Deutz air-cooled engine
Versatility: The Gleaner R50 is adaptable to different crop types and field conditions. It offers a variety of header options, allowing farmers to customize the machine for their specific needs.
Comfortable Cab: The operator's cab is designed for comfort and convenience. It often includes modern amenities and technology, making long hours in the field more manageable.
Precise Harvesting: The combine uses advanced technology to measure and optimize the harvesting process, providing real-time data to the operator to improve crop yield and quality.
    History:
The history of the Gleaner R50 combine dates back to the mid-20th century when the Allis-Chalmers Corporation introduced its first self-propelled combine, the All-Crop Harvester Model 100. This was a groundbreaking development in agricultural machinery, as it reduced the labor required for harvesting and significantly increased productivity.
In the late 1970s, the Allis-Chalmers Gleaner brand introduced the R Series, representing a new era in combine technology. The R Series, including the R50, was characterized by its innovative rotary separator, which revolutionized the threshing and separating process. This technology improved grain separation, reduced grain loss, and increased overall harvesting efficiency.
The Gleaner R50 was renowned for its ability to handle a variety of crops and deliver high-quality results, making it a favorite among farmers. Its durability and reliability in the field contributed to its long-lasting popularity.
With the acquisition of the Allis-Gleaner Corporation by AGCO in the 1990s, the Gleaner brand continued to evolve and improve its combines, including the R Series. Today, AGCO's Gleaner combines continue to be a staple in modern agriculture, combining cutting-edge technology with the heritage of a storied brand. The Gleaner R50 and its successors have played a significant role in shaping the landscape of modern grain harvesting, helping farmers increase their productivity and efficiency.

My grandmother grew up in the countryside of the state of Virgi,. She and my great-grandmother used to make pig feet in the oven. It's awesome to see how others on the other side of the globe in a different culture make them. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.

Your notes, umm, Gleaner never had JD engines, the engine in the 50 series were Deutz engines (AKA German diesels) 190 HP, hence the class 5 rating. The R 50 did not replace the R40 but was just a class 5 option, i.e. HP ratings. If memory serves correct, never had 400 bushel capacity some where around 230 ish. They got bad press in their day, but were very good combines both in sample and low cost repairs and maintenance. Field test guys know what I'm talking about. Loved seeing this ole girl running....

I prefer to use the pole with the GoPro to get the natural sound. I would like to get a drone to get some higher shots of the field with the machines in it. Thanks for watching. #HarvestChaser
